Fantastic find!!! This MG Midget is in great condition and has been profesionally restored. The paint looks great, black leather seats have no wear, new tires and it drives like a dream.
I am the Internet Sales Manager for Reynolds Ford Lincoln of Edmond but this particular car is not going to be sold through the dealership. Instead it will be sold directly from the owner (my stepfather). This was purchased as a surprise gift for my stepfather a couple years ago. He once had a Midget just like this while growing up. We bought the car from an eBay member and had the car shipped in. The previous customer had all the restoration work done so I can't give much info regarding when and who it was done by. The previous owner claims the 67K miles is original.
Since we bought it we had it fully inspected. The technician was impressed with the car and rated it a 9 out of a 10. We added a new radiator, water pump and tires. The tires do not have but more then a couple thousand miles on them. My stepfather only drove the car about once a month on a nice sunny day. He has had it stored in his spare garage and cleaned it often. Just recently he has moved and does not have the room he once had. Now we are ready to sell it for someone else to enjoy and to create more space in the garage.
I took as many pictures as I could and hopefully they give it some of the justice it deserves (sorry for the poor lighting by the way). I also tried to show every imperfection I could find. Other then what is in the pics there is also a small tear on the cloth roof where the corners meet on the rear glass (which is very common from what we are told). The tear is about 1 or 2 inches. It will come with everything pictured including the sound system, cloth top, car cover, spare, books and 2 keys.
