Up for auction is a 1964 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible. I bought this car from a friend who needed some financial help. The car has a Nebraska title in the previous owners name. The reason for me selling it is that I don't know much about VW,s and I do not have the time or money to invest in it. I know this is a very valuable car and would love to keep it but I have to let it go to someone who can bring it back to life. The car has been sitting for a few years in a garage and recently had to leave it out for the past 3 months. The car seems to be complete with all trim and drivetrain. I have not tried to start it but the previous owner said it ran when he bought it.The convertible top needs some rebuilding as it is missing some bolts but still goes up and down and the fabric is in great shape. The body is in excellent condition with just a few small dents and scratches but no rust holes. Bumpers do have some dents but chrome is good. All glass is good but needs rear window installed and driver vent window which are included with the car. It seems that it does not have the original seats but not sure. Interior is complete but front door panels need to be installed but are also included with car. Carpet looks to be in good shape as do the seats. Dash is all complete but steering wheel is missing center trim. The trunk floor and undercarriage do have some surface rust but nothing were I can see rust holes.
