1985 Classic Mini with full Restoration (Reserve Price Reduced) This is a modern interpretation of the Cooper S Racer which has been rebuilt from a bare shell, ( Donor Car being a Mini 1000 City E ) into a fast road/race car. It was imported to Canada from UK. All the restoration job was done in UK by the previous owner. My Car registration certificate stated the car is mad in 1985 with VIN No: SAXXL2S1020269218. But the eBay listing does not accept the VIN. Therefore I have stated 1980. The build is supported by a photographic history containing some 120 photo illustrations and over many bills and receipts totaling in excess of $13,000 which does not include the cost of the paintwork nor certain engine components i.e. the Weber carburetor, branch manifold etc. The history details the restoration being carried out over a number of years with constant improvement and upgrading culminating into a very fine race prepared motor vehicle. The specification comprising of the following: Bodywork: Full bare metal preparation, primer, rust proofing, replacement wings, inner wings, sub frames and finished in VW Metallic Electronic Green ( Mint Green ) Paintwork throughout. a few small bubble near the front right headlamp. It is common with British car but can be fixed easily. Interior: Soundproofing, carpets, roof lining, new dashboard with Cooper Instruments, Roll Centre Cage, Cobra Racing Seats with four point racing harness all in matching livery black/yellow. The front grille is of Mini Mk I type looks very classic and attractive. Mechanical : Race Prepared Engine with 1380cc block, piper cam and crankshaft, stage 111 head with 11 stud head, crankcase pressured. KAD flywheel and pressure plate, Weber 45 doce 5" carburetor with branch manifold and water cooled. Full Stainless Steel large pipe tuned performance exhaust. Close Ratio gear-change. Electronic breakerless ignition with FACET electric fuel pump. Oil Cooler and high pressure water pump. Up rated master cylinder and four pot AP Racing calipers on vented discs and Minifin Super drums to the rear. Gas coilover Spax adjustable shock absorbers. Polybushed suspension, track rods etc throughout. The vehicle sits on new Falken radial tyres with BWA alloys. The vehicle benefits from being fitted with a Electronic Alarm System providing remote setting with full closure and remote/auto central locking. All build components are from genuine Rover parts with specialist components from Mini Speed, Nick Slagg Engineering and Peter Lloyd Rallying in UK. The car is supported with Sun Power Diagnostics read out confirming power of 103 BHP with 121 Nm of torque. The vehicle has been fully serviced with a new starter motor, starter solenoid and battery fitted. The car is tested ready to go for a very fast road car. It is great fun to drive with a sound from the Weber Air Box and Exhaust to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand to attention ! The towing bar has been removed at the back and is not part of the sale. All photos on the restoration and receipts will be provided with the car.
