Vehicle Detail

1962 Studebaker CHAMP truck. This truck was semi-restored 10 to 12 years ago and has pretty much been sitting since. At that time it was painted, all new rubber installed, interior updated, motor refreshed etc etc. It looks like it was allowed to go down hill from there. Bought it 6 months ago intending to refresh and use as a daily driver since it should get 20 to 22 mpg with the OD but things have changed, as life has a tendency to do. I have only driven it to end of street and back, not fast enough to check OD but it's complete and should work fine. It has an all new brake system (except hard metal lines) to include new wheel cylinders, hoses, shoes and master cylinder. Cleaned and lubed everything on the body that moves. All lights and gauges working. All glass good and windows/vent windows open and close. Doors open and close. CD player installed under dash, factory AM is in place it's condition is unknown. Have the air cleaner it's just off for cleaning out old oil. The pics should give you an idea of how good this truck is although I feel they flatter it. Here's what I believe it needs to be a daily driver. Tires are weather checked, need replaced. Battery is old and loses charge quickly, basically toast. Hood has been tweaked at the rear, repairable but comes with a replacement. All fluids should be changed as I haven't done it, comes with oil and oil filter but I would change transmission/overdrive/rear end fluids as there's no way to tell how long since that's been done. Water pump bearing is complaining, it works but needs replaced. Heater core has a leak, it's out under the hood so easy to reach just bypass it for now if you want. There is some rust but it's not a Flintstones' open floor rig and all of it can be easily fixed without a disassemble of the truck. Bed is solid, solid floors except drivers outside edge is rusting along seam, doors have some at bottoms, one pinhole in roof. I was going to clean up the roof and some of the other bubbles but thought if someone bought it they would rather see what's there than see fresh primer. Enough bad mouthing my cool little truck, it just needs a some love and it will be a gem again. Good truck at a good price, not perfect but it's not priced at $10k or $12k either. The opening bid is the reserve. It has a clear "open" title, any questions about this feel free to call. Please look over the pics and make sure it's what you want, ask any questions you may have. I would be willing to add a Buy It Now for a good offer with a good feedback Ebayer. High bidder is the buyer, sold as is where is. Less than 10 Positive Feedbacks must email me contact info and a note telling me you understand what's going on here. Thanks, Mike. 501 765 8333 It can sit a few weeks while transport is arranged by buyer but I expect prompt payment.
