1969 Dodge Charger For Sale. 05-15-2012This auction is now being relisted. the vehicle was sold locally and then the sale fell thru because of the louisiana title. I have since titled the vehicle in Wisconsin and hav e title in hand. IF there are any specifics you need please ask. I recently suffered a stroke this past week so my son will be handeling the questions on my behalf'. please be patient for responses. the vehicle is now down on four wheels so it can be rolled onto a car trailer. several others had asked about that when it was previously listed Here is the story: In January of 2005 my son purchased this car on eBay for $5600.00 as the attached copy of listing shows. Seller claimed the body was 95% professionally done. Went to Texas and trailered it home. After checking things more closely he decided to have the entire body dipped which brought it down to bare steel. The doors, fenders, all frame rails, fender aprons and shock towers are without any rust. Both rear quarter panels were replaced and the rear window opening was repaired with new metal. The floor panels were replaced along with the trunk. He began having body work done and the vehicle is currently on a rotisserie. The vehicle underbody and interior was coated with a black sealer called P O R. The car has all glass except the windshield. Be advised everything is disassembled with regards to the body. There are 2 trunk lids and a quality made fiber glass hood. For the interior there are front bucket seats with head rests that are frame and foam only. There is a rear seat that came with the car (white) . Dashboard, console, (auto on floor) are there. All body chrome, front grill, front and rear bumper are there as was when car was purchased. No chrome or interior items have been restored. Suspension: there was an 8 ¾ rear end with the car that looks like it was opened up. Unknown condition. The leaf springs are in very good condition and were coated with that POR. The front suspension assembly is out of the car. He was going to replace it with a tube assembly with rack and pinion steering. Original still usable. All this said I still don’t think the body is 95% done as the first seller stated. I would say 75% from where it started. I do have the title also. Moving on to the Engine and Trans: This auction includes engine and trans. Engine : 440 bored .30 over and cleared for a 472 stroker kit. Comes with a brand new Eagle rotating assembly ($2622.00 alone. Machine shop work was another 1500.00) This is forged steel crank, JE pistons, Total seal piston rings, Eagle H beam connecting rods, Main and rod bearings. Good to over 750hp. With the bore and stroke the engine is somewhere near 500 cubic inches. There are misc original engine parts such as stock heads and possibly a manifold, water pump and alternator. There is a radiator. Still have some of the parts receipts. Transmission : the transmission is a 727 rebuilt with heavy duty components. There is no valve body and converter as he had not decided on those items to this point. Rotisserie: As stated earlier the body is currently on a rotisserie. The rotisserie is made of steel and allows the car to be turn to various angles to be worked on . This rotisserie is also part of this sale. Conclusion : I wll not separate the items. The rotisserie is basically free. My son helped me explain this add the best he could. The car is now mine and here is the rest of story. My son was all about this car until a little blonde girl got a hold of him. He fell in love got married and got in a bind for money. Dear ol dad baled him out . Now im stuck trying to sell off his project. Engine and initial price of the car is around my buy it now price. This is thousands less when you figure trans , rotisserie, body dip, body work and materials. ALL MUST GO TOGETHER. I will be adding photos soon as I get the car uncovered. I had several people ask if the car could be put back on wheels for hauling purposes. the car has been removed from the rotisserie and i went to the salvage yard in hunt of some wheels and tires to make it a roller. Should have it down on four feet soon.
