Vehicle Detail

1972 Mustang Mach 1 Sportsroof. Car was fairly restored to about 90% until about 3 years ago when it was in an accident with another vehicle. I purchased the car from the gentleman which had done the restoration and owned the car. The car has a clean PA title (now in my name). Also with the car I received most of the supplier’s names and receipts from the time he restored the car, as well as a Marty report. From front to rear this is what was done prior to the accident: new repo spoiler and grill, new repo fenders and hood, new repo rad support and rt/lt aprons, doors were replaced with used original ones. All new floors including trunk, new repo quarters, inner and outer wheel houses, new repo rear body panel, and new repo deck lid. Suspension was gone over and bushings, shocks, brake lines, brakes and hardware were all replaced. Motor is a 400 mod with c6 auto trans (less than 30k on both). Headers into 2 and 1/2 inch magna flow exhaust (all new). Interior is in fair shape, but is in need of finishing. The dash is cracked and driver seat torn, but passenger seat and rear seat are in good shape. There is no head liner installed but new one will be included with car. Interior door panels and carpets are new, and new seat belt were replaced with an across the shoulder style out of a later model ford. Currently there is no radio, but one was installed prior to my ownership (wires are present). Car has factory tachometer and all gages work. Outside window trim is in fair shape, and outside door handles are new repo. The original color of the car was bright red ford #3560-A but was repainted with base coat clear coat pewter ford #2287. All glass with exception to the windshield is in good shape. Original motor was a 351 2v and fmx auto trans, I believe the rear is original with 2.75 gears. I’m sure there are things I’ve missed so if you have any questions I will do my best to answer them. I am including with car a used lt front fender (good shape) and used lt door (good shape). New owner will need to replace the grill and windshield, as well as repair lt side rad support to apron, lt outer hinge pillar, lt 1/4 and let rocker. I am a collision repair technician and have all ready done most of the sheet metal repair to the hinge pillar rocker and 1/4, finish welding and body work still need to be performed in those repair areas. Also, lt and rt 1/4 panels are showing areas of repair where the 1/4s were seamed, I found that the 1/4s were bonded at the seams and the bonding that pushed out from between the panels has swollen. To repair this I would grind down the seams and remove the bonding that came out from between the panels and reapply body filler and finish sand those areas, I believe the bonding glue was reacting with the body filler and if you take the panel bond away the problem shouldn’t come back. Again any questions I will be happy to help answer. Car runs and drives fine but I would recommend getting it towed to its new home. The lt front wheel is cambered in a little at top. Thanks for looking at my car, I’ve done my best to honestly describe what I have and wish to make a friendly sale. Shipping will be arranged and at new owners expense if needed. Asking 5,400.00 but will consider any cash offer.
