1948 Kaiser Special 4 door sedan! I was told that this kaiser is a 2 owner car. It was owned in south central minnesota where there was no salt used on the roads (farm country.) The first owner knew the second owner and represented the miles as actual. The second owner represented the miles as actual to me. The first owner had the car painted about 20 years or so ago. The interior is all orginal. The first owner put seat covers on it and said the upholstery was good. The seat covers have not been removed. The floor pans, trunk pan, and rockers have no rust. The paint is faded and on the passenger side has come off in some spots as the pics show but you can see the original sheet metal is all there. the door panels and headliner can use a cleaning. All guages work including odemeter. All of the windows go up and down like they should and there is no cracks in any of the glass except one very small crack in the rear vent window.The fog lights work, and it has five brand new tires. There are two fender skirts that come with this car but I do not know if they belong to it. There is some bondo in the passenger side door and a small bit on the rear fender. There is a small dent in the left rear quarter by the tail light. As you can see, all of the interior chrome and emblems are like new with no pitting. There is minor hail dents on the roof visor minor enough where the pictures will not pick it up. There is no trace of any hail anywhere else. The car ran the entire half hour of taking pictures and the video. As you can see there is no smoke or overheating of any kind. The engine runs quiet but there is slight exhaust noise. The brakes feel hard (could be from sitting) but do stop the car. I had the car up to 60mph and it handled true like the way it should. I do not want to overcall or undercall this kaiser, it is a great entry level collector car that can be used in parades or local car clubs/shows the way it is, or you can take it to the next level and do a complete the restoration. We had the car driven three hours to our home without any issues last november before storing it for the winter. I started it today for the first time since november for this listing(which is why it has dust on it) and it ran fine other than the battery being down. I set the reserve well below the price guide market value to ensure a sale, only bid if you are serious about buying this kaiser. The previous owner had this car registered until last year when I bought it so it has a clean title. I require a 500 dollar non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end. If I do not get the deposit within the required time frame or before you come for the car, I will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying this kaiser, please feel free to come and inspect or drive the car before placing a bid.
