Sold originally at Sunset Volkswagen in Beaverton, Or. These were basic vans that had the camper equipment installed across the River in Vancouver, Wa. and were sold by dealers to supplement the short supply of more expensive Westphalia. I am the third owner (since 95) with a close friend having been the second. (70-95) His uncle bought it new and put the first 40K on it. It has had an extensive mechanical restoration over the last 4 mo. E-mail if you are serious and I can answer anything you might have concerns about. I implore you to come and inspect personally, or send an agent, and I will bore you to tears, since I am retired and have time & availability. It has the original tent and poles, as well as beautifully made denim curtains that snap over the windows. Childs cot, water tank/icebox, rear facing seat frame, wardrobe/mirror front panel, and panel under rear seat are missing. Vintage roof rack manufactured by Carter in Portland and is most desirable. Has rust (95% do by now) in front and long rocker, again, I can give more disclosure in an e-mail. Right side from B-pillar to back jncluding battery tray have been done. 5K on 1600 single port utilizing new AS41 case and new heads (not rebuilt) as well as all other components of top Quality available. Has doghouse fan housing/oil cooler with all new engine compartment seals-listening to it tells the story. Owner #2 cut access door above engine, not original seats (these are far more comfortable), large center window on left cracked. Tires are Michelin 185R15 from 50% to nearly new tread. All lights, illumination,indicator, warning or otherwise (including 3 interior) work with the exception of the front on 4-way flash. Battery, generator, voltage regulator, distributor, horn, reverse light switch, left headlamp assembly, and fuel tank sending unit are new. Look at the pictures closely and ask questions, and if you bid please have the wherewithal to follow thru. If you or a loved one have woodworking and/ or body/welding skills , this is the one.
