Beautiful 1966 Mustang 289 C-code classic coupe! Built in San Jose, California With it's factory original rebuilt 289 engine. A Holley 4bbl carb and a Edelbrock performer aluminum intake manifold, Factory power steering, New Flowmaster dual exhaust system with GT style trumpet tips. The car has white letter Futura GLS Super sport radial tires size p215/60R14 in front and p235/60R14 on the back.The G.T style Trumpet dual exhaust flows thru the G.T styled rear valance. This is a solid 66 classic that is free from rust and it has all of its original sheet metal with solid floor and truck pans. I bought the car on Ebay with the intention of completely restoring it but, unfortunatey was laid off before the restoration was complete. I bought it from a guy in Phoenix, AZ so to the best of my knowledge, it has never seen the snow! All the body panels are original and not rusted. The prior owner installed the GT badges, stripes, and dual flowmaster exhausts. This car could easily be brought up to GT Clone status, or returned to it's original look. It has 4 great new tires and nice mag wheels and a new interior. Since purchase I have installed new plug wires, plugs, points, air cleaner, glove box, radio (modern but with original look), heater, woodgrain control panel, woodgrain steering wheel, upgraded Holley 4bbl, and much more. Will make an excellent daily driver or weekend show-off car.This is not a show car but is a genuine "head-turner". In my opinion, what remains to me done? Cruise-0-Matic automatic transmission sometimes slips in reverse but does not smoke and does not smell. A simple tranny overhaul would easily fix this.There are some paint touch-ups (the worst one is around the trunk latch, shown in pics), the rear window should be removed and reinstalled with the correct trim (I have trim and butyl rubber caulk and will leave in trunk). The oil pressure gage does not work, but I do have a spare instrument cluster that I will provide with the car. A general tightening up and replacement of body seals and weatherstripping wouldn't hurt, as would installing a 4BBL carburator kit on the Holley 4BBL. The car is not registered and a title is not required for a car this old in my state, but I will provide a clean bill of sale (notarized if necessary) to the new owner.I will also provide the Arizona title and bill of sale to me from the Phoenix, Arizona owner.
