Hello and thanks for looking at this car for sale. Please read this ENTIRE description prior to bidding. I’m selling this car for a friend; this will be a very honest and accurate description (by me) so I’ll try to describe everything to the best of my abilities. You are more than welcome and STRONGLY encouraged to come by in person and kick the tires prior to bidding. I will do my best to accommodate ANYONE who wants to see it. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!! HIGH BIDDER OWNS IT!!!! This is a 1996 Saturn S series 4 door car. It has 182,xxx miles on it. I just vacuumed out the car, changed the oil, (using Valvoline Max-life) all fluid levels are OK. The tires have OK tread left, the brakes seem OK from the short road test I took. The engine starts and runs well. I had it running for 4 hours, no coolant leaks or overheating. There are no noises in the engine. Cooling fan works well. The transmission shifts, it did seem shift hard (my opinion) on two occasions. The exhaust seems a little loud, but no terrible. There is a JVC CD radio in the car. The car body is in very nice overall condition, on the rear bumper there is a small cut and a large rust area in the R/R sill plate area (see picture). The L/R lamp has tape on it. The windshield has a small stone chip at the very top. The interior is in average condition, a small tear on driver’s seat. The good: The engine starts and runs nice, no coolant leaks or noises heard at all, only a slight valve cover oil leak. Looks like a newer battery. All fluid levels are proper and the transmission fluid looks like new. There is a nice JVC CD player. No unusual noises when I was driving over pot holes at 30 MPH. The bad: The transmission seems to occasionally shift hard, I called a transmission shop and they mentioned something about a PC solenoid??? There is a slight exhaust leak, it’s not terrible. The door locks don’t work, but you can hear something clicking when you push the buttons. The serpentine belt squeaks or chirps occasionally (it’s getting better). The L/R brake lamp lens has tape on it. There was a light on the dash (check and then a wrench?) that was on, but then went off by its self and hasn’t been back on. The horn doesn’t work. Cigarette lighter isn’t installed, but is in the glove box. Overall this is a nice car; it just needs a little TLC. This should make you a good car that gets almost 30 MPG.
