1967 Jeepster Convertible! This jeep is a two owner car with 37146 miles. The original owner owned it until 2010. This jeepster comes with a clear and currently registered title. He started to restore it. What he did was change the original dash to a wood dash and the original center console to a wood console.( His trade was custom woodwork) He also made a custom woody surfboard key holder as seen in picture. The job he did in my opinion is much richer and much more desirable than the factory steel dash. (included in the sale factory steel dash and factory center console as pictured) He re upholstered the front seats in tan vinyle and put black carpet in. The rear seat is still in the original black upholstry with seatbelts. It was taken out of the car but goes with the jeep in the sale. He moved the headlight switch to the center console so the headlights turn on and off with a switch. A radio was made to install into the center console also. the speakers are in the rear and the dash still, but the radio was removed by the second owner. the original owner changed the color from factory yellow to burgandy and white. The paint shows no signs of the yellow other than the firewall under the hood. All door jams etc...were painted burgandy. The paint job is not numbert 1 show quality but definetly a 7 on a scale of one to ten. It shows very well. Good enough for car shows and clubs. The first owner of this jeepster became ill, and the second owner, who was a friend of his, bought it for his wife in 2010. He put four brand new Wide White Coker radial tires and a new clutch, which is all he thought the jeep needed to be mechanically reliable and I have to agree. The engine does not smoke, have any abnormal engine noises, no leaks, and the brakes stop fine. In the pictures, you will see all of the convertible top parts. The irons for the top parts as pictured show a break and will need re welding and the vinyle top needs to be replaced but is all there. The boot is there. in my opinion, it is cheaper and easier to buy a after market convertible top with all of the bows($800) or buy a removable hard top that came with all hard top comando's which can found. The trim rings are off of the jeep (I just forgot to put them on) and go with the jeep. All guages work and turn signals work. All of the windows go up and down like they should. The jeepster was running the entire time the video was being shot and it never overheated and ran great. In 1967, 12621 jeepsters were produced, which makes this jeepster a very rare car! Also, it comes with the optional v6 and 4x4 with lock outs that all work great. This jeep also comes with a full service manual and the original owners manual. The miles were represented as being actual from the previous owner, but I have no documentation to verify that. I believe it to be actual miles as the condition of the body/interior, and mostly the way it runs and drives. I took the jeepster up to 65 mph as you will see in the video, it rode and drove beautiful. The jeepster comando was available in three models, a convertible, a pick up truck, and wagon with a hard top. This is the rarest of all. You can leave this jeepster the way it is and enjoy it as a daily driver without investing any money or add a top to it for under a $1000, or take it to the next level and make it a number one show quality car. I set the reserve below market value to ensure a sale, only bid if you are serious about buying this jeepster! This car could be driven home or I could help line up shipping with people I have used in the past!
