Up for auction is a beautiful 1964 Pontiac Catalina four door sedan,model # 2369 in Teal Green. This vehicle was built in Linden, N.J. with a VIN 834L36511. The mileage is 19,669, which is original. I purchased this vehicle on 9/26/2003 with 6880 miles on it. Updated with (5) Firestone FR440 whitewall radial tires,new muffler and tailpipe.The engine is a 389 c.i. with a 2 barrel carb, producing 267 h.p.. The engine was dismantled upon purchase and all rings,bearings and seals were replaced. The heads were threaded, and new rocker adjusting studs were added (updated to 1967 standard). The heads had a complete valve job.A new radiator was purchased and installed along with new hoses. New fan belts were installed along with a rebuilt carb and fuel pump. Distributor and wires were replace, along with a new coil. New battery. There is a three speed transmission that runs smooth and shifts properly at speed. The transmission oil and filter were replaced. The rear end has 2:56 gearing,and I have obtained 20 m.p.g. at interstate speeds. The car has its original paint and there are some slight blemishes on the top surfaces only. The chrome and stainless are in good condition. The interior is all original, and has four original teal colored rubber mats.It has a rear window defroster,and a rear speaker set-up has been installed. It has a glove box light, and it has the original push button AM radio that works fine. It also has a Spark-o-matic FM convertor installed. The inside visors each have vanity mirrors atached to both. All windows are manual and operate like new.The seat and door fabric are in excellant condition with no rips or tears.The seat belts are all original and work properly.The weather stripping is in good condition.All electrical componants work. It has a windshield washer. The engine bay was detailed when the engine was removed. The engine bay has a wind-up emergency type light, and a auxillary washer bottle. The heater core was disconnected due to leak. The trunk houses a new Firestone FR 440 spare tire, with a cover. It has a working jack stand w/ handle. The trunklid has another emergency windup light w/ mercury switch. The car comes with and extra Slim Jim transmission with a N.O.S. transmission filter, a new in the box carpet, N.O.S. Stainless window shades, N.O.S. tail light lenses,used tail light assemblies (L&R), used head light assemblies (L&R), N.O.S voltage regulator,extra intake manifold and all original parts removed.Also many wheel covers. A car cover, dash sun deflector, shop manuals and literature and advertisments. A three ring binder with all documentation concerning this car also included. The car is available for inspection, and is garaged in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.
