1931 PA Plymouth Convertible Coupe - A High Point Car - Reserve Lowered! Up for auction is my recently restored 1931 PA Convertible. It took me 16 years to find and restore all the correct parts to finish it. However, it’s time for me to move on to my 1935 PJ Convertible Coupe project and send this one to a new home. I finished this car in 2007 and it was invited to appear at the 2008 Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance for its first show. This is obviously a body-off restoration of a really solid PA. Everything was done right to bring it back to original. Now, with 600 miles and no damage, it’s ready to serve a new owner. Yes, the 4-cylinder motor, 3-speed transmission, everything...is new or rebuilt. The paint is PPG in the spring, 1931, Dodge English Vermillion Deep. This was the Dodge Viper red of 1931! Six powder-coated wire wheels withFirestone 4:75/5:00-19 wide whites. The front seat and seat back are spotless, wrinkle-free leather. Everything else is in a matching vinyl. The running gear, body and interior are very well detailed. All chrome work is perfect. Like almost everyone, I spent way too much restoring this money-pit. Well, it was good therapy before I retired so it was an investment in my health. The recently-installed fog lights were to be used as turn signals and are not operable at this time.My reserve is far less than the cost of the restoration.
