Up for sale is a 1984 Mercury Lynx/Ford Escort Diesel. Very low mileage for the year, also very clean for the year. It consistently gets mid to upper 40's for gas mileage. There is very light rust there are a few surface rust spots as seen in pictures. The only spot I can find rusted through is underneath the carpet in the hatchback which the prior owner covered with a 1/4 inch piece of plywood which you can not see because the carpet covers it. The interior of the car is very clean, the upholstery is in nice shape. The tires are almost NEW very good tread! This car was owned by a ford mechanic before I owned it. There are no known issues with this car, it starts and runs well. Has had a recent oil change and does not seem to burn or leak oil. If it does its very little because I watch the dip stick close and the level does not seem to move. The car is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end auction early. If you have questions on the vehicle please ask, I have said everything I know about it and like I said there are no known problems but if you are concerned come look before you buy.
