This rust free 2001 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra is a California car and has been upgraded in several areas. Engine is a 4.6 liter, 4V putting out 320 HP. Mileage is original and only 78279. Attention was paid to obtaining the highest grade suspension, clutch and intake upgrades possible. Here is a list of upgrades. Original Cobra rims were 17".Hood pins There are no rust holes or perforation on the body sheet metal. There is also no rust in the structure or floorboards as the car is California original and has been well kept. The paint job has some haze on rear deck lid and touch ups on drivers door and rear wing. Engine has noisy valve lifters. Mechanic at dealership advised repair of lifters and/or head or replacement of 4.6 engine. Car still runs and drives but I would not advise driving the car until this issue is fixed. The 2001 Cobra had an upgraded 4.6L DOHC engine with 320 hp (239 kW) and 317 ft·lbf (429 N·m) of torque. Ford replaced the intake manifold, exhaust and computer components from the 1999 to produce 320 hp. Cobra-specific seats with a combination of leather and alcantara [suede-like microfiber] inserts - These seats show normal wear and tear on fronts. Rears are in very good condition.A rear bumper that reads "COBRA", instead of "MUSTANG", as the 1999 Cobra had.A rear badge on the trunklid was changed to say "SVT" instead of "SVT Cobra" as the 1999 Cobra had.The T-45 transmission in the 1999 model was replaced by the 3650 in the 2001 model.The axleshafts and differential were changed from 28 splines in 1999 to 31 splines in 2001.The spoiler was redesigned.The center console and trim were redesigned.The emergency brake was fitted with a 'boot' of leather to cover the hole in the console where it protrudes.The headlights were changed from a chrome background to a black background. The newer headlights are sometimes referred a "smoked" or "tinted" but this only refers to the black background. The actual lenses are clear and identical to that of the 1999. This Mustang is sold as-is with no warranties written, expressed or implied. On Apr-11-12 at 22:28:25 PDT, seller added the following information: This Mustang is equipped and upgraded with HID headlamps. The passenger headlight works sporadically. Either needs new bulb or lamp ground checked. Right rear brake light is not working; needs to be checked out. Duralast battery is also new.
