Vehicle Detail
Last of the all chrome bumper TR6's, this was built early in the year. ( Note the seats). I have only seen 3-4 of these listed on ebay in the past 5 years, making these even more valuable. Rust free car I had shipped in from the midwest. It had the original paint and interior. I have been restoring british cars on the side for over 42 years and really enjoy keeping these cars on the road. Here are all the things I have done. EXTERIOR - Car was completely disassembled to the shell and repainted "Carmine Red" single stage paint. I did replace the front and rear valance because of curb rash. Back panel is painted the correct black and rockers have the correct " stone guard " paint, just as original. Lights were rebuilt using nos parts. There are a couple of very small dings I missed during the prep, that might not show on the pictures, but want to be totally honest. ENGINE- Professionally rebuilt original engine done by the best shop in my area. Check ou their webpage. ( mardinly.com ) It had a 3 year warranty which is 1/2 gone. New weber sidedraft carbs. Original distrubutor totally rebuilt by " Advanced Distributors" using Petronix ignition. No points or condensor to worry about. INTERIOR- "New Tan" color. New carpet, doors panels, seats, floor mats, etc. Seat were taken done to bare frame and totally redone. New wooden dash with original gauges that all work 100%. SUSPENSION- Fully rebuilt using new springs, bushings, tie rods, steering rack, etc. DRIVETRAIN- Complete new clutch system using only the best parts. 4 speed trans works great and renewed all gaskets and seals during rebuild. New drive axles. Original rear differential that works well, but there is a small leak in the front seal. This is the only seal I forgot to replace. BRAKES- NOS Brake booster (anyone seen one of these lately). Rebuilt front brake calipers, new rotors and pads. New cylinders and shoes on rear. Includes black tonneau cover, new tan boot cover plus a full car cover. (pictured). Rare Factory car manual (1972) plus other shop manuals. New tires and 4 wheel alignment. MINOR things to be done. Hood latch needs to be adjusted. (Pops up and catches safety latch when I hit a bump.) Rear seal in differential. Small squeek when turning steering. ( Bushings in steering column need lube). Steering column was also rebuilt but think new bushing are of poor quality. Spare tire needs new tube. I am being as truthful as possible about this car, and want you to know everything. I am setting the reserve price thousands less than I have into it, but am moving and need to sell. Buyer responsible for shipping or pickup. I will help the trucker load, if needed. Car is sold as decribed, as is. Paypal and cash, and prefer cash if you are picking up locally. I guarantee you can't find a no-rust TR6 and restore it for my reserve. Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding
