The car is a replica of a 1929 Mercedes SSK Roadster. I purchased the kit in 1988 and first registered the car in 1990. It has always been garaged and is in like-new condition. The car is front-engine. The "donor car" was a 1981 Pontiac T1000. the engine is a cast iron, four cylinder. It is a manual 4 speed with rear wheel drive. The components from the Pontiac include the engine and drive train as well as the front cross member with the suspension and rack and pinion steering. The tilt stearing wheel/column from the donor car is installed. The car has all of the available options with the one exception of the fake exterior exhaust pipes. There are some accessories that I did not install. I have the complete convertible top along with the toneau cover. I also have the leather straps that can be installed across the hood and on the trunk lid. Other options and accessories included are: AM/FM stereo radio with front and rear speakers Custom steering wheel Hand built walnut dash board with full optional insturmentation Heater and defroster Luggage rack Continental tire & wheel Genuine Mercedes "star" hood ornament Fog lamps Optional exterior horns Wind vanes at windshield sides Fully carpeted Wire basket chrome wheels (all five, including spare) I have all of the paperwork from the original order.
