Vehicle Detail

*** Rare, Low Mileage, All Original MR2 Turbo *** Up for auction is my 1993 MR2 Turbo. Unlike many MR2's that you will find for sale online, this car is all original, and has less than 4k miles of use per year. It has never been in an accident, or been modified in any way. It's clean, reliable, fun, and gets great gas mileage for a sports car! History of Ownership I purchased this MR2 from the original owner in August of 2010, and the mileage was at 66,xxx miles at the time. He is a business owner in his late 40's, and bought the car new back in 1993. It was originally a California car, but the owner moved to Tennessee a few years before I purchased it. The car is rust free, and has never had any aftermarket parts installed. The body is by no means perfect, but for the year, it is in very good shape. I searched on every forum out there, AutoTrader, and Craigslist for over a year before I finally found what I was looking for; a stock MR2 Turbo w/low miles. Including the trip back to Wisconsin from Tennessee, I've put about 6k miles on it since I've owned it. It has been stored in the garage from late fall until spring during both of the winters that I've owned it. The car is up to date on all of it's maintenance, and there is a stack of receipts over an inch thick for the car. The owner was meticulous about saving everything, and passed all of the paperwork on to me. The only thing that isn't in their, are receipts for 2 out of the 4 oil changes that I've done, since I did my own oil changes at 71,000 and 73,500. GOOD: - Stock 1993 MR2 Turbo - Full Book of Receipts (Over an Inch Thick!) - Original Owners Guide, Window Sticker, Spare Key Dealer Tag - New Timing Belt, Water Pump, Pulleys, Spark Plugs, & Front Brakes (4/4/11 Done @ Import Minded) - Rear Brakes Done 10k Miles Ago - Newer Tires @ 66,xxx Miles (When I Bought It) - Up-to-Date on All Maintenance - Car Alarm With 2 Remotes - Never Been in an Accident - Excellent Interior 9/10 (Some Light Wear on Upper Left Corner of Steering Wheel, Floor Mats Starting to Wear) - T-Top Bags and Shades in Great Shape - T-Tops Don't Leak - Never Seen Snow/Salt - Absolutely Rust Free (Under body Looks Great - Seems to Have a Rubber Coating on It) - Stock Limited-Slip Differential - No Oil Leaks or Issues - 93+ Suspension Which Is Far Superior to the 91's and 92's (I owned a 91, hence the name, and the 93's+ drive WAY better.) - Adult Owned BAD - Car was keyed when the original owner purchased it (jealous coworker, apparently). He had it touched up, and although doesn't stick out at you, it is noticeable; especially when you are at the correct angle.. The picture kind of shows it, but it's difficult to see unless you look from certain angles. - Paint fade is noticeable up close, in certain areas (mainly on engine lid/spoiler), but isn't bad at all when you're 5ft+ away from the car. It looks really good since I just waxed it, but if I were to keep it, I'd plan on getting it painted in a year or two. Their is no rust or paint missing from areas, so it definitely can wait if you don't mind waxing it a few times/year. - Typical small dings and scratches around the car. Not many, none are horrible, but they are there. Scratches are light enough that a wax covers them up. - Power antenna makes noise like it wants to go up and down, but it doesn't move. I never bothered to get it looked at, but I think it would be an easy, inexpensive fix. - Prop rod for engine bay is in the trunk since the clip that holds it in place broke. I'm not sure how difficult this is to fix, but since it doesn't bother me, I never looked into it. I really only use it when I'm changing the oil. FREEBIES (Include With The Car at No Additional Charge): - Omori Boost Gauge w/ Dimmer (Stock one works, but this can replace it for a more accurate reading) - Additional Set of Spark Plugs, Wires, and Distributor Cap PICK UP/DELIVERY I will help however I can with delivering this vehicle. I live about 60 miles north of O'Hare Airport, and 20 miles south of General Mitchell International Airport (Milwaukee). The title is clear and in my possession. This car can easily be driven across the country if the new owner wants to fly in and pick it up. Feel free to contact me with questions, if you need more pictures, or if you just want to talk MR2's. If you do a nationwide search on Auto Trader, Craigslist, MR2 Owners Club, or eBay, you will not find a better example of stock MR2 Turbo, especially a rare 93' model. The next owner will not be disappointed with this car. The car gets compliments everywhere I go! Good luck bidding! On Mar-27-12 at 13:50:48 PDT, seller added the following information: I was asked if the car has power steering. Yes, the car does have "electro-hydraulic" power steering, and that was standard for that model year (at least the turbo models). I didn't do a very good job of listing the options, but the photo of the original window sticker does list everything; standard and optional. The car also came with: Anti-Lock Breaks ($1,030), Limited-Slip Differential ($400), and Carpeted Floor Mats ($58). I know Anti-Lock Breaks were the standard on the 94' and 95' Turbo models, but in 93', it was the option to have.
