Read on. The car you see has been together for 10years. It was assembled post shooting of the film. Having been in the industry at the time, many of my friends or business associates were involved in some part of the process of the movie making. From parts supplier, to simply extras in the background we were all over the place. There were about five other eclipses created by the studio used in many different scenes, this isn’t one of them. As you will read below, although this was created post shooting, it is the ONLY version in the world left that represents the movie both inside AND out, and then some. The original car was auctioned off before our shop out here in KY could get our hands on it That car ended up getting purchased by Star Cars Museum in Gatlinburg, TN. Since everything was almost out of production back then, we got all of the parts, but with some difficulty. Either way it was completed. The car was intended to be a marketing tool during “The Fast and Furious” race series, but nothing came to be. Legalities with Universal Studios prevented that. We folded up business in 2003 or so, and I’ve had this car since. I was the sole builder on this project subbing out only paint. In 2008 I decided to add a few things to it, Tein suspension, Lancer EVO8 brakes and JDM Galant steering parts, as well as OEM appearing wide body front fenders to fit the width of the new brake setup but still keep the movie appearance. (movie car had drum rear brake w/imitation covers and front brakes were only an AEM rotor upgrade) Nitrous was taken out years ago, then added back this year since I decided to sell it, so these parts are all NEW never even used yet. There is also and MSD programmable ignition system included with the nitrous system to maximize the output in a spirited driving or race setting. The engine mileage was also at a max for the original engine 264,xxx. I built a brand new .020 bored over engine with new pistons, rings, seals, bearings, EVERYTHING, a complete new engine. It now has about 900 miles on it. In fact almost everything mechanical is under 1000 miles, including break pads and rotors. Since the brake install, it really hasn’t seen anything other than a few sunny days here and there. There are many parts on this car that are priceless in the fact that they are LONG gone from production, you simply can NOT get them anymore, even if you had a million in the bank. While there are some who may not care, the fact is still the same, this car is going to remain rare in its construction. When you are in it, it feels like being in the movie, and hopefully that’s what the future owner wants. Some things I will note about condition: -There is some sort of damage on each panel of the car, be it a small scratch, a paint chip or minor abrasion. Repainting will be up to new owner, clear coat is absolutely glistening regardless of the age. Roof scoop has a handful of small expansions/cracks in the gelcoat underneath paint. -All 100% new glass, trim and moldings when painted. -Vinyl graphics are fading on one side and the roof. The good news is that I have replacements. They are the original AUTHENTIC graphic set, banned by Universal studios from being sold to the public since 2002. The ones you see on the internet now are only TERRIBLE versions that don’t even come close. -The stereo system works, but there are a few small kinks in the operation of the screen opening. -The major gauges are operational, but the airbag side gauges are for show. If you are still interested after this quick run down, I will be more than happy to entertain emails. Just let me know. Cash and Trade offers are welcome don’t be afraid to make an offer. Overseas sales may be entertained from commercial dealers or experienced buyers as well. I daily drive my Supra and the eclipse remains in storage so the mileage will not go up. Shipping within the US averages $750 to anywhere, but the car can technically be driven home for cheaper if you are the adventurous type.
