This classic car is a head-turning beauty. When I drive it around town, sometimes I feel like I am driving the BATMOBILE. I get stopped and asked questions all the time. People have left notes on it asking if they can use it in parades and/or for film shoots. Kids (of all ages) love it! The car has a 326 V8 Engine. It drives beautifully on the highway and around town. I believe there was just one previous owner. I was told when I bought it that the car was in storage for 29 years. The odometer is at 92,101 miles. There are 4 x 3 point shoulder seat belts and two center lap belts. There are 6 seat belts altogether, plus headrests on the driver and passenger seats. Although I have the original stereo, I removed it from the center console and replaced it with a Kenwood KVT 516 stereo/dvd player with a retractable touch screen. It has Garmin navigation (w/traffic), cd/dvd player, bluetooth, usb, and Ipod connection (in glove compartment). There are 4 x 5” speakers and a Kenwood subwoofer in the trunk. The sound is great, even when the top is down. I also added a Viper 350 alarm system with keyless entry. Additionally, I have made the following improvements, replacements or fixes : Power steering, power disc breaks, convertible top engine, new radiator, new starter motor, new alternator, new spark plugs, new fuel pump, new transmission cooler line, new battery, rebuilt carburetor, and lots of new hoses, filters and electrical lines. The interior has all new carpet, including the trunk, plus new seats, foam, and steering wheel. The factory original wheels have been refurbished w/ new center wheel caps (the wheels look hot) and new Goodrich tires (225/70/15 TA Radials). I have spent over $20,000 in the past two years making this vehicle mechanically sound, aesthetically pleasing and fun to drive. I will make every reasonable effort to accurately answer potential buyer’s questions; however, I am not a mechanic or a car professional and therefore assume no responsibility for any defects or repairs regardless of any oral or written statements about the vehicle. It is the buyer's responsibility to inspect the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to it's condition and value. For very serious interest, I may allow a buyer’s inspection prior to the close of auction at the Los Angeles (Century City) location where the car is garaged. Additionally, I may provide the names of my mechanic and two reputable local classic car dealers, who after driving and inspecting the vehicle each offered me amounts equal to or greater than the reserve price. Even though I believe these experts to be quality people, I can not guarantee that they will take and/or return your phone calls, nor can I guarantee the accuracy of any statements or information they offer. The car is being sold as is, with no warranty, expressed, written or implied. I believe this car to be a bargain at the Buy It Now price and a steal if it's anything less. If the reserve isn't met, feel free to make me an offer I can't refuse. Even when I'm a buyer, last minute bidding tactics give me anxiety and heart palpitations :-) A $1000 non-refundable deposit is due immediately upon auction close (thru Paypal).
