The condition of this car is mind blowing. Like stepping into a time machine and being transported 51 years back into time. This car has not been restored! We did paint the exterior of the body only. Much of the chrome and stainless was removed, polished and reinstalled. I have posted many pictures of the LeBaron prior to our paint work so that everyone can see the original body and paint. The pictures of the floor are as they were when we brought the car out of storage, minus the cobwebs! The family swears that the odometer is the true correct mileage. But I look for tell tale signs around the driver’s seat. Check out the seat and Driver’s door armrest. No wear marks! This car has almost every option available. We ran a compression test. All cylinders are between 150 & 160 PSI. We are trying to get the dash lights working and plan on recharging the A/C system. We have on order: front hood spear end, steering wheel horn bar, one halo hub cap, door latch receiver & ignition switch bezel. They should be here beginning of next week. This will make the car complete and 100% original except for the carburetor. We do have the original carb boxed up. This car is incredible to drive. Smooth as glass. When idling across our parking lot I could not even tell the motor was running. The new base/clear PP&G paint system is the factory correct Sheffield Silver. This car out of an estate of the original owner. I was told by the family that their parents bought the car in Long Island, NY and drove it immeatatly here to South Carolina. They told me there parents lived in South Carolina their entire life. I asked why the car had a Colorado tag on the front and a South Carolina tag on the back. They told me that there parents visited family there often but had never driving the Imperial there. They also claimed the reason for 85,511 original miles was that this car was only used on special occasions. Twice a week to church and also graduations, weddings & funerals. This car was their father’s prize possession. Though not a wealth man this was his one luxury he allowed himself. No one was allowed to drive it, ride in it in anything less than their Sunday best and never ever allowed to eat in the car. Lavishly equipped and powered by Chrysler's 413 cubic inch V-8 with 350 brake horsepower, the LeBaron was further distinguished by brushed stainless steel roof panels above the doors that invited passengers into its lavish leather-upholstered and trimmed interior.
