For sale is a 1968 AMC AMX. This a complete running and driving car. For years and years the AMX has been a highly desirable American Muscle car and this the chance to get into a complete running and driving car for a great price. The engine is a 343 V8 and it has an automatic transmission. The engine runs and idles smooth and the automatic transmission feels strong. The paint and body are in presentable and driveable condition but could use some work to be perfect. There is small rust bubble above the rear wheel wells and the lower rear quarters. Also there is some rusting in the side portions of the trunk from some water leaking in at some point. I have included pictures of rust. The interior is black and is in good condition. The driver seat has a small tear in the back of it. The carpet and panels are overall in good shape. The rear end is a stock 3.54 rear end. There is a brand new master cylinder. The car runs strong and the lights are functioning but unfortunately the previous owner grounded the power wire to the horn which did some visible damage to the wiring harness in the engine compartment (pictured). Very fortunately I was able to track down the issue and although there is some visible damage to the wires, it did not effect the function of the car. I did some research and a complete replacement wiring harness can be purchased for about $300. The car is perfect for someone who is looking for a complete car to drive or someone looking for a complete car to restore.
