I bought this as an R Title in 1997 and at one point had it fixed and painted back to almost showroom condition. This car was my daily driver for almost 10 years since then and it's always been a good reliable car until it started leaking gas out of the intake. The car still ran fine at that point, I could have changed the gasket myself but a local mechanic offered to do it for only $200. Taking it to him turned out to be the worst decision I've ever made because after being put back together, I found the car outside of his shop, unable to be started and had to tow it home where it's been taking up space in my garage ever since. I sold this car on eBay last year but the person never paid so I had plans on fixing it myself but haven't had the time. I came to the conclusion that I'm just going to try to sell it again and if it doesn't sell I'm going to part it out. I just called the local junkyard and they will give me $400 for the rolling chassis after I strip off every usable part. I've had a local offer of $200 for the interior and I know that the 5 speed alone sells for around $500 so if this car doesn't sell this time, make me an offer if you need any parts from it. Here's a list of what is good on the car Transmission suspension Glass Interior,: good seats, door panels, radio, speakers fuse panel, etc. brakes and rotors, master cylinder etc. gas tank and fuel pump wheels, tires, spare tire and jack a few usable parts on the light assembly and 1 motor still works, possibly the other one works but the casing is missing peices starter: engine spins freely and there should be nothing wrong with the engine itself. I'm guessing that it's either a wiring problem with the fuel injection or the mechanic may have put the pushrods in wrong. Basically, besides the engine not starting, there is nothing wrong with the car other than the front light assembly, cracked plastic fenders and other cosmetics. I recently checked and I found 2 fuses that were blown in the engine compartment, I changed them and tried to start the engine again but nothing happened. I'm guessing that even if it were able to start now, the gas is probably too old and may have clogged the injectors anyway. I just want to be done with it by this point because I'm only going to get frustrated if I end up wasting any more time or money on it and still can't get it started. The fact is that it's taking up valuable space and it's time to move on. A minimal downpayment of $200 is required within 3 days after winning this auction. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TRADE: I may be interested in a trade deal for a 4 wheel drive vehicle or even toy or comic book collection depending on what you have to offer, I'd even be willing to put up money with the car. Here's a list of what I collect: Action figures: Marvel legends, marvel universe DC universe classics, 1980's gi joes Comic books: anything pre 90's or independant labels from 90's - present Hotwheels and matchbox cars 1/12 scale cars (ones to fit 6" action figures) Lp records: Punk, progressive, 70's Funk, Avante Garde, Metal, Psychedelic, garage 90's Alternative, Grunge and blues (Please don't make me offers containing any bands that you hear on top 40 or classic rock radio stations, well, maybe the Beatles but not much else) Guns: Interested in all types of guns or ammo If you're seriously interested in the car and might have something good to trade, I would be willing to put up money plus the car if the value of what you offer for trade is higher.
