I have owned this car for a little over 6 years, and I am the third owner. I garaged this car about two years ago with the hope to restore it, I haven't had the time so I am letting it go. This car needs work in order to get through Maryland inspection. I would advise having the car towed if you are not local, the tires and brakes need to be replaced prior to a long road trip. The brakes will have to be replaces (rotors/pads), the tie rods need to be replaced. The front control arms, alternator, accessory belt and serpentine belt were all recently replaced. The tires will have to be replaced, they are well below tread spec. The car comes with an extra set of ASA AR1 wheels - the front wheels are 18" X 8" and the rear are 18" X 9.5". The the rear tires will have to be replaced on the extra set of wheels. The exterior of the car is is good condition with a few spots where the clear coat has issues. The hood needs to be repainted, for whatever reason the clear coat started peeling and hasn't stopped. There are two roughly 2" X 8" spots on the roof where the clear coat also came off. If you stand about 10' from the car, you can't notice the clear coat issues. There are a few dings on the car, but the body is in great shape. The stock wheels come with the car, they were painted gun metal about 3 years ago. The car comes with an extra set of ASA AR1 wheels - the front wheels are 18" X 8" and the rear are 18" X 9.5". The the rear tires will have to be replaced on the extra set of wheels. The driver side fog light is missing, and will have to be replaced in order to get through inspection. The inside of the car is in good shape for being 17 years old. The leather seats are in great condition. The door panels are bubbling like every other E36, and are a bit worn. The sunroof works fine and the heated seats still work, the passenger seat heats up a bit quicker. The radio still works, although it is past its time. The engine starts and runs smooth. The engine runs strong and pulls hard, honestly feels just as strong as when it had 100k miles. The cooling system was replaced about 5 years ago, including a new thermostat. I drove this car back and fourth from Annapolis, MD to Washington, DC daily; majority of the miles were spent on the highway. This car will need some work to become a daily driver, but would make a great one. I have videos of the car starting up and idling, I can send the videos via email.
