THIS VEHICLE WAS CAREFULLY HAND-PICKED FOR US AND HAS BEEN THOROUGHLY-ENJOYED, WELL-LOVED AND CARED-FOR "MEMBER" OF OUR FAMILY FOR ALMOST A DECADE - IT IS NOW BEING SOLD FOR ONLY ONE REASON - MY WIFE NO LONGER DRIVES, AND THEREFORE WE HAVE NO NEED FOR THIS LOVELY CAR, SO WOULD LIKE TO FIND IT A GOOD HOME! I AM CERTAINLY WILLING TO EXPORT, AND HAVE EXPERIENCE TO ASSIST YOU IF REQUIRED. Please read the entire auction and view all photos before bidding. If you're as big a Saab enthusiast as we are, you know quite well that these vehicles are extremely well manufactured and built to last. With an original MSRP of $39,750$ this vehicle has just about every option and feature you'll need or ever want. As you can clearly see, this senior owned, dealer serviced, garage kept, and softly driven Saab has been extremely well cared for both cosmetically and mechanically. Recent mechanical repairs performed over the last decade or so include replacing the direct ignition cassette (of course), transmission ($3500 job performed 2.5 yrs ago, warranty through the repair facility is 3years/36k miles, which expires 7/25/2012), new fuel pump (30k miles ago), blower motor/fan (for the climate control), 4 new matching Goodyear Eagle GT's (less than 5k miles ago, at least 85% treadlife remaining), battery (09/2011), brakes w/rear caliper replacement, CV boots& axle(@155k miles, should be good until approx 300k miles), cat back exhaust (less than 25k miles ago), both lower control arm bushings (approx 20k ago), recent thermostat and coolant flush, and it's on it's second timing belt. As I'm sure you would expect, it recently passed the extremely thorough NJ DMV inspection with flying colors and is current and valid until 3/2013. Needless to say, it has been treated and serviced with the utmost of love and care. We have every confidence that this vehicle will serve your needs in the coming years equally as well as it has ours over the past decade. Imperfections are present, which center mailnly around regular wear from the lightest and most considerate usage, blemishes to the paint with some small door dings and other minor flaws (if you want, we're more than happy to go over the vehicle panel by panel to discuss each and every flaw, stone chip, and minor imperfection. Drivers seat has minimal, normal wear, as does the passenger seat (to a lesser degree, please view all pictures), front bumper is showing signs of it's vintage with clearcoat imperfections along the top edge (see pics), drivers visor vanity mirror cover is not attached (it comes with the car), and the passenger visor is imperfect too. headliner is virtually MINT and does NOT sag at all. Stereo head unit has been replaced with a Pioneer unit (specifically to allow for aux, ipod, etc input), retaining the original Harmon/Kardon amp and speakers which deliver sound quality superior to even that of a Bose system. Hazard button is functional, but imperfect (virtually unnoticeable, and all too common with this model). Both Headlight washer motors are squirting and functioning properly). No aftermarket window tint is on the vehicle. Rear wiper is operating exactly as it should, and was replaced shortly after we purchased it. Windshield reservoir and pump were replaced as well and are functioning properly. The windshield was also recently replaced. In sum, many of the things that are required for normal service/operation have already been serviced. A new gas cap and valve cover gasket were serviced also. I'm sure we've done other things over the years we're not mentioning, so if you have any specific questions please let us know. ICE COLD A/C, TOASTY WARM HEAT, HEATED OUTSIDE MIRRORS, ETC., CLIMATE CONTROLS ARE WORKING BEAUTIFULLY! On the road, this Saab is a joy to drive, especially when up at higher speeds. Have every confidence in Saab's amazingly advanced and structurally integrated safety features keeping your family safe and sound should an accident occur in the future. One press on the gas and the indestructible 2.3L Turbocharged inline four delivers power wonderfully, and hasn't lost a step. The transmission shifts crisply and virtually imperceptibly, smooth as a swiss watch. Steering is smooth and precise, free from moans or "hot spots," vehicle runs straight and true at any speed. Again, ZERO PAINTWORK, BODYWORK, FRAME IS AS STRUCTURALLY SOLID AS THE DAY IT ROLLED OFF THE SHOWROOM FLOOR. The brakes stop this vehicle with ease, tires are virtually new, suspension is nice but since it's the original shocks they are slightly soft but not in any need of a hurried upgrade at all. Electronics all appear to be working properly except: illumination behind (the very small) trip arrival time display may need a bulb. Drivers heated seat element does not get as hot as the passenger seat and will likely be inoperable sometime soon. All lighting, front and rear fog lights, exterior indicators, interior backlighting, buttons, switches, options, and features all appear to be operating beautifully unless otherwise mentioned-and the buttons themselves respond surprisingly close to the way they felt new.
