Up for grabs is my 1981 Mercedes Benz 300D , Euro edition ,Diesel 4 door sedan. She has been an absolutely trouble free daily driver for the past 2 years I have owned her. I am only selling her because I was "gifted" a new car…and don't have space for 2. This Benz is the 4th 300D I've owned , and by far , the nicest looking and smoothest running. I've taken her from Los Angeles to San Francisco numerous times without a hitch. She has not been converted to run on on veggie , but in the warm California climate the conversion is not necessary. I've used Diesel , Bio-Diesel , and straight vegetable oil with absolutely no problems. She'll burn anything. The Good: .260K miles…just getting broken in .4 newer Bridgestone Tires..approx 80% tread .MBZ alloy wheels .recent oil , fuel , and air filter change .new brakes .spare tire , jack , etc. .JVC cassette stereo .gets approximately 28 MPG .Registered in California until 9/8/12 .no smog check required…ever .no tune-up required….ever The OK: .these cars are notorious for having bad power window motors. Only the driver window and sunroof work…this has not been a problem for me. .dash lights are out…I suspect a fuse .tear in Driver's seat….buy some seat covers. .heat and defrost work…AC needs a charge .one of the front headlight guards is cracked…not the light itself…just the guard…no biggie. low reserve….GOOD LUCK! feel free to call or e-mail with any questions thanks Jon 323 450 5433 On Feb-14-12 at 08:30:48 PST, seller added the following information: The reserve price is $1599.
