For sale is a classic 1971 bridgehamptom blue corvette with newer paint job and new chrome bumpers. Also new is the gas tank, sending unit, rear tires and rebuilt power steering pump with hoses. It passes NJ inspection and is used as a daily driver from late spring to early fall. After that it is garage kept. Originally from Missouri so there is just minimal surface rust. The interior is original and is the only thing that would need updating if it were to become a show car. There are no cracks or tears, just worn and has been painted prior to my ownership. The heat fan only works one speed due to a failed blower motor resistor. ($19.95 corvettecentral.com) The engine is a newer crate motor with electronic ignition. I'm not sure of the mileage on it. When it was put in the A/C compressor wasn't replaced. I believe almost all of the hoses/console parts for the A/C are still in place. The car runs great, wind shield wipers, their door, and headlights have been repaired and work. It does pull to the right some so it'll need a front end alignment. I couldn't find anyone local and trustworthy to do it. The only other thing is it does sweat a little oil from the main oil seal like all classic GM short blocks do. After a few months parked in the garage only a few drips show on the floor. Again, where I live (far northwest NJ) I couldn't find someone good with the knowledge to work on the oil seal and alignment. I love the car and the only reason I am selling it is a) I'm moving and will have no room at the new house for the car, and b) I will need the money for closing costs and storage shed for the new house. Oh, I will also throw in the new smoked gray single piece moon roof I bought for it.
