Up for Auction is my 1978 Ford Granada ESS (European Sport Sedan).....I've yet to see another one of these still around....I'm certain they are out there but I haven't seen any.....Don't laugh, this model was Ford's answer in comparison to a Mercedes....If you go to You Tube and plug in 1978 Ford Granada ESS you will get the original Ad Ford used in selling this model.....A Mercedes it's not, but a Fun Car to say the least.....A definate conversation piece everywhere I go.....Unfortunately recent car purchases is forcing this sale....Outta room and hate not to Garage it.....This was a California car, Garaged since new and definately well cared for.....She is powered by a 302 cu in 2 bbl carb engine.....Starts and runs Great on Regular Unleaded Fuel.....Automatic Transmission with Floor Shift and Console....Console has what I call Idiot lights that still work (Door Ajar, Trunk, Low Fuel, etc.) Trans shifts quick and smooth and rear runs out Fine....I just replaced the entire Exhaust System from the Cat back including Resinator in rear.....Im nuts about keeping My Original Unmolested Cars Original......Although the car came with the original Michelin Whitewalls, I just replaced them with Brand New BF Goodrich Radial TA's....orig tires were dryrotted in the tread.....Air Conditioning,Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, and Power Drivers Seat All Work as they should.....A Real Nice Leather Interior including Front Bucket Seats are All Clean and Free from cracks or tears....Carpeting, Headliner, Dash Pad are All in Excellent shape.....Drivers and passenger side door panels do have some minor cracking in the wood portion on top....Not noticible in the pics....The AM/FM Stereo Works but I cant get the 8-Track goin (Bummer)... there is a Factory Power Booster in the trunk for the Stereo....Engine Compartment and Trunk Are Very Clean....Original Michelin Spare has never hit the Ground.....Overall this car is in Excellent shape and No Doubt in my mind has 48194 miles....All maintenance has been performed by Certified Technicians at Riverhead Ford using Motorcraft Parts.....Feel Free to Ask Any Questions....I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.....A Modest Reserve Price has been set......Good Luck and Best Wishes To All.......Patrick <>< On Feb-23-12 at 17:55:16 PST, seller added the following information: Well Good Evening Folks.....It's been a long week and I've answered soooo many questions....so many have asked for a "Buy it Now" price and I just didn't think it to be fair....Sorry to dissappoint Ya'll.....Looking at the Bid where it stands now, I am certain this Granada will sell to the High Bidder, for the Reserve Price is Just About Met......Many of you have asked about flying in and driving the Granada home.....I've answered the same everytime.....Although the car is in top running condition with No Known Problems ( I even replaced the entire Exhaust System as well as the Tires to keep Ya'll happy with the purchase), I Cannot Gaurentee that nothing can happen....Keep in mind this Granada is 34 years old and sits most of the time in the garage, hence the mileage....Please use your Best Judgement....I'm Certain You Will Be Happy.....I do deal with three transport companies when I purchase and will only be more than happy to share with the High Bidder this info......I Wish Ya'll the Very Best.....Good Luck and Happy Bidding.....Patrick <><
