** 1987 Mercedes-Benz G-Class GE280 *********Today I offer up for sale a 1987 MERCEDES-BENZ G-CLASS GE280. This is one owner vehicle, owned by a Physician in Pennsylvania who only used this during the winter months for office commuting on snowy days. This was purchased new and shipped over direct from Germany to the owner and was always garage kept. Maintenance on this has been meticulously done right up to this sale including the installation of new OEM headlight buckets at the cost of $400 and a general tune up. The Wagon is a 5 speed transmission, starts right up with no problems at all, runs great, shifts smoothly, and is a true work horse. It does have its cosmetic issues all of which are correctable but the owner has other cars and did not want to put any money into it. It has some rust and rusted areas, all of which seems to be contained to the running board area and floor pans....(see photos) other issues are A/C needs new condenser, Door locks not working, Power windows are disconnected needs a new kit for power windows, brakes need to be looked at, possible fuel tank leak (noticed a nickel size spot after 2 weeks of sitting) The interior just needs a cleaning but the seats, both front and back, are in great original condition (NO Tears....) The muffler is 2 years new. This is a real great looking vehicle and very charismatic. You are welcome to come and see and drive it...If not ask any question before the auction is over. If I don't know the answer I will ask the original owner. This is being sold in as is condition and the buyers responsibility for shipping cost...
