1999 Dodge Ram 2500 Extra Cab Short Bed 5.9L 24 valve Cummins Turbo Diesel with SLT Laramie package. VIN# 1B7KC236XXJ556266 - Legendary power and performance that will last a very long time. This is a really clean, well cared for truck. Rare short bed. Fully loaded with every option except leather. Recent work and upgrades that have been done: #1 the truck now has a motor out of a 2001 that is not the #53 block which had problems. The original motor was the #53 block which cracked and was later recalled. The new motor only has about 90k miles on it (barely broken in). The Odometer reads 170,500. #2 new injector pump 09. #3 upgraded raptor lift pump with ALL 1 and 1/2 inch fuel lines from the fuel tank to the motor so there will be no fuel system problems. #4 new "Edge" chip with attitude control unit with digital gauges and five power settings and multiple gauge options (it's awesome but there's a catch, California emissions standards are requiring them to be removed. If you live in CA. I'l take are of removing it at the local Dodge dealer. It only takes an hour to remove it and go back to factory settings, but it's really a shame to take out this superbly useful piece of technology. #5 new intercooler hoses upgraded to the heavy duty silicone hoses #6 recent valve adjustment and new valve cover gasket. #7 completely rebuilt transmission with heavy duty torque converter and shift kit in '09. #8 all new fluids throughout. #9 new heater core 9/09. Brand new front and rear brakes and very new power steering and brake pump ($1000+). New tires.The whole truck is very nice looking with only minor dings and wear and one superficial bondo job on the passenger side from a minor run in with a parking lot divider. Overall, in really good condition, with many valuable upgrades and major services - the brakes front and rear have about 100 miles them. It needs zero work and is ready to drive or tow now - to prove it, I will deliver it anywhere in the country for a reasonable fee. It has a 1 yr old Pioneer stereo/CD/radio and new speakers a few months ago. Has a removable carpet kit and a solid clean shell in the back. Please ask questions or come check it out. Thanks.
