1964 Mercury Comet Caliente Convertible - Very Nice / Solid Driver: This is a very nice original 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente Convertible. The car looks great, starts and runs very well, and drives down the road as it should. The black paint is not perfect but is very presentable, with only a couple minor flaws, and a few nicks and scratches. The red interior is nice, there are no rips or tears, and it is also presentable, but is a little worn due to being 47 years old. The 289 V8 runs strong, and the automatic transmission shifts very well. This Comet is equipped with Power Steering, Power Brakes, and a Power Top. The body is solid overall, with some very minor rust repaired in the rear quarters when it was repainted in the 1990's. Overall it is a very solid car for 47 years old. The only issues that really need to be addressed is that the exhaust pipe has come loose, not rusted, just needs to be reconnected, and the brakes stick a little so they could use adjustment. This car runs and drives well, it looks great, garners alot of attention. This Comet is presentable enough for your local cruise in or car shows, but will need some cosmetics to be a show car. I hate to sell it, but I have relocated and will not be able to bring it with me. I have a clear title and it is ready for the new owner.
