Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 2001 Firehawk Anniversary. For those who know each year of production the Firehawks were the top package of the Firebird line. Cars were sent to SLP to get performance and appearance mods and then back to dealers. In 2001, the 10 year anniversary was celebrated with an all black with gold stripe Firehawk, with special mats, trophy mat, plagues, gold wheels, etc. It was a throwback to the bandit. 129 were made, some say 130. This car is numbered twice #416 of the Hawks that year and #90 of the Anniversaries. This is a rare find. It is a t top, convertibles being the rarest. I have all the Anniversary stuff that came with it, short of the key FOB. Owners manual and portfolio is in glove box, all decals are there, wheels, etc. Mats are nice shape. Below is a list of the cars options and anything I added. It has around 86K miles on it, I bought it with 84K a few years back. Health forces sale. No other reason. It is a 6 speed which shifts perfect, strong clutch LS1 motor, with LS6 intake (according to production) SLP bellow SLP ram air SLP thermostat SLP headers BORLA exhaust BM rear lower control arms and strut tower brace SLP springs KYB adjustable shocks less than 500 miles Baer rotors all 4 less than 1000 miles Green stuff brake pads, less than 1000 miles SLP tune and Diablo tuner High flow cat Monsoon cd system cruise, pwer everything (all work perfect, even skip shift still) A/C ice cold, heat hot as can be. tires still have 60% or more. Body in nice shape, NEVER wrecked. Roof had the typical 98+ bubble issue. I bought a 97 roof, had it painted and installed, Perfect match as you can see in pics. You would not know except these cars are known around the country, and someone would have seen the listing I bought it from years ago where it had the roof issue. I can take more pics of roof if needed as well. Original stripes were ruined by original owner, He took to a detailer who buffed to close. These are correct color replacements, but not faded edges. Rest of decals mint shape. IROC spoiler mint, roof mint, no beat up fiberglass. Ttops do not leak or make wind noise. hatch does not leak or make noise. Carpet in good shape, mats in good shape, tropy mat in excellent shape. I drove twice a week for a while taking kid to school and errands, then now just once a week. Hard to lug things I need now. Start it three times a week though. Will drive anywhere perfectly. Fun to drive at any speed . In pics, white stuff on wheels is wax and soap. I washed and detailed it weeks ago to take pics and forgot to, did today and did not wipe dust or residue off. Before it is shipped it will be fully detailed, ready to hit a show or street. I am open to offers to end early, I reserve the right to end early as it is for sale locally. Use the buy it now and I will pay for shipping to the 48 states. Blue book on these I believe is 13500 or so for the low end and this car is NOT a low end car. Mileage is higher than some, yes, but it has NEVER been raced or abused or owned by a kid, and it has been babied the last several years. It is a collectible, you have to search for collectible to get the real value. Plain ws6's fetch 15K on craigslist, so please be realistic on your offers. THAT being said, I wish to sell quickly and easily, so please consider tossing some numbers my way and bidding. Email any questions as well. 1000 due in 48 hours of winning , rest in 5 days On Feb-09-12 at 12:59:53 PST, seller added the following information: I guess I should have listed my number because its always good to go old school and talk with owner instead of emails ! My name is Jason, you can reach me at 281 703 6287. If you get a voice mail, I will get back with you in the evenings at latest. I also wanted to make it clear from the ad, I will pay for the shipping if the buy it now price is used. So if you know shippers and can get yourself a good deal, feel free to make an offer with normal shipping costs or more taken out of it and if we agree I can end it for you. According to this : http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/2001/Pontiac/Firebird/Firehawk/Values, a plain 2001 with my mileage is low end 13600, without adding ram air package, etc. Not trying to ask the same amount as Hawks with 5000 miles that only go to shows, or ones with every option, so do not be afraid to talk with me on it. And as far as original equipment, alot of the SLP products were on it when I purchased, none were really race products and seemed beneficial so I never worried about finding a stock bellow or lid, or exhaust manifolds, etc. I know those are not unique to the Firehawk so replacements are easy to come by should anyone wish to put it back to "stock" The tune is easy, you just plug in the tuner and pick "factory". It also is a code scanner, diagnostics, cool gadget to have. The shocks and brakes just needed replacing, and I honestly did not see the point in keeping the original ones anyways, so I trashed them. This one was not purchased with the Bilstein package anyways, so it had those orange shocks (sorry forgot the name), and I live in Houston, crappy streets, so I thought upgrading to adjustable ones would be nice. They do make a much nicer ride with the springs than the original ones, and easy to adjust in less than 5 minutes for all 4. The undercarriage is also super clean, we live in Houston, no snow, or salt on roads, and it stays in the garage, so you can see, the inside is not faded out from Texas heat. I forgot to take a pic of the Trophy Mat as well, I can if needed, but I have it as well and its in perfect shape too. I also have a custom car cover for it as well, and extra set of keys , the correct chip key, and the VATS system is perfect, no issues, never had an issue. On Feb-10-12 at 16:22:20 PST, seller added the following information: I want to make something clear to any bidders. If you look on the bid history, leemcguran51, retracted his bid of 10,000. I spoke with the bidder by phone yesterday and he requested I end the bidding for his 10000 bid offer. I said it was my reserve, but I had 4 days left on the auction and wanted to see. I was told I needed to accept the offer by today or he would do what it takes to retract withdraw his bid. I then got a voicemail today saying if I do not accept the offer he would do what it takes to retract his bid and before I could respond, he told Ebay another reason in order to get out of the bid, saying I changed a description of the car. If you read all of my ad you will see I never did such a thing. I put an edit on stating that I would clearly pay for shipping if my buy it now was met, as I had received questions on that, and I stated the reason why SLP parts where on there. PARTS MENTIONED IN ORIGINAL description, again because questions where asked and I wanted to be clear. No change in the accuracy or quality of the original description of the item, my description states parts on it, the edit says the same parts only answering why they are on it. other details like a perfect VATS, extra keys, car cover, etc are only ADDING to the item, not a negative.. The reason I am going through the hassle of this edit is to be clear this is not on me the seller. A bidder wanted me to end the auction early for his price right then and there, or he would back out however it takes. I do not want anyone to think less of the ad or vehicle because someone didn't get the bargain they thought they deserved. Maybe the car will get 12 or 13, or not at all who knows, but I do not want my character in question on having a bid retraction on my ad. If he was willing to pay 10,000 on the day he bid, then why was the 10,000 not good enough to wait till the auction ends? That is my question to ebay that I have posed. And the reason given to Ebay does not match the reason in written emails to me, or voicemail to me both of which I have kept records of. And I have an excellent feedback rating, sold numerous cars, bought numerous cars and do not appreciate my ad having a negative mark on it for a false reason.. So sorry for politics on bidding, hope bidders and Firehawk lovers bid to win and you will pick up a great deal. My reserve is 10K and I would still end it early for a good offer between that and the buy it now.
