Audio Player Copyright 2009 Ver2.04 You are bidding on a 100% original 1984 Jeep Grand Wagoneer – an un-restored survivor from a successful line of charismatic vehicles that began fifty years ago and that cemented Jeep’s credibility as a luxury liner SUV manufacturer. In some circles, this iconic wood-sided machine’s popularity is stronger than ever. In fact, there is a big market for refurbished Grand Wagoneers, and this one would be an excellent base vehicle for restoration. This particular example was owned from new by a physician who was a lifelong friend of my Dad’s. Dad bought it from him and kept it in his warehouse for a number of years until a few weeks ago when I decided to get it out, clean it, fire it up and get it driving again. He had acquired it to eventually disassemble and restore, but health issues prevented his ability to tackle the job. It is sometimes a little hard to start, but it never fails to do so, and after it warms up, it takes off nicely and floats down the road. It is still in original paint and has its original factory drivetrain – the 258cid (4.2L) six-cylinder engine with automatic transmission and “Selec-Trac” four-wheel drive. This Wagoneer is virtually free of rust, is unmolested and has all of the factory equipment it was born with, plus it has the heavy-duty ranch front bumper with a model 8274 Warn Winch – a highly desirable option. Major advantages: · Original Paint, original wood grain side trim. · Original drivetrain. · Original interior – still presentable and very comfortable. · Warn Model 8274 steel cable winch (needs remote controller) · On-demand four-wheel drive (4WD) Other special items: . Original Wheels and wheel caps. Original power side rear view mirrors (driver’s side works intermittently). Original Jeep floormats. Original AM/FM radio with cassette tape. Original Roof Rack. Original quartz digital clock Original lighted vanity mirror (see photo) Original 6 way power bucket seats Original tilt steering wheel Original ignition keys. Original fold-away rear seat Original seat belts – two shoulder harness belts up front, two lap belts rear Original cruise control (inoperative). Original night/day rear view mirror. Owner’s manual (see photo). Mechanically, the drivetrain and all other mechanical and electrical systems have been inspected and adjusted. The engine sounds good. Here is a summary of recent work performed: Fresh oil New platinum spark plugs New fuel filter. New fuel line. Timing adjusted. Brake system inspected and adjusted. New anti-freeze coolant. New muffler and tailpipe. New rear wheel cylinders. New fan clutch. New 12 volt battery. New transmission filter kit. New hood release cable. New heater hose. New carburetor kit (carburetor overhauled) . New radiator cap. New wiper blades. All exterior lights including tag light, turn signals, headlights and rear marker lights, horn, wipers and interior lights are in working order. Temperature, amperage and oil pressure gauges are working. Speedometer, odometer and other dash gauges are inoperative. Heat works thru defroster. A/C system is charged but has an obstruction - needs an in-dash part to function properly. All power windows work properly, except driver’s door window, which works if not lowered more than halfway. One starchip and crack in front windshield in driver's fiels of vision. Passenger side front fender is slightly dented toward the nose and has rash along the wood grained side paneling.
