This is an early MGB with a 5 main bearing engine from a later model. The 4 speed transmission is with an electric overdrive. The engine has good compression and oil pressure. The car is from Arizona, however the floor boards have slight rust holes due to moisture being trapped under the carpets. Other than that the car runs and drives well. The car could use some mechanical TLC. The wheels are not original, as you can see in the photographs. The interior was installed new some years ago by the previous owner and the car was stored since then. Interestingly, the car has a functional air conditioning unit installed in it, but of course it was after-market. I was going to restore the car since it is a good solid car to begin with and is a good candidate for restoration or driving with some TLC, in my honest opinion. I am selling the car because I do not have the time to restore the car due to my hectic travel schedule and I would like to see a good hobbyist enjoy the car and bring it to its rightful glory. February 10, 2012: Please note that I just added some more pictures of the undercarriage, new canvas top, etc. of the car. Since I just drove the car back 40 miles from my mechanic's garage (it was at the body shop since august and I had not seen it since), here are some interesting revelations – 1. It drove really well and I could do 70 mph easily.2. The car has great oil pressure and power. 3. It grips the road and has no rattles or squeaks. 4. All the gauges work. 5. All the lights and turn signals work. 6. Brakes are good. 7. The top is canvas and brand new in perfect condition. 8. Chrome is good all around. 9.
