This 1958 Beetle was donated to and is offered for sale by a nonprofit organization as part of a fundraiser for a new family violence emergency shelter. The donor was the original owner. He purchased this car in Germany in 1958 and had it shipped to the States. He claims it is a 1958, and the door handles substantiate that even though the title lists the year model as 1959. The odometer does not work, but original owner claims it has less than 50,000 miles. He bought it as a gift, but it was more his taste than hers, so it has spent most of the past 54 years in a garage. The mechanic who brought this little car back to great driving condition (he restores VWs for a living) considers her to be "90% pristine." The radio works (if you like AM stations), but tends to die out when the vehicle is at idle. Other than that, everything seems to be in good working order. The fun sunroof is original from the factory; paint is the original color. The sign on the vehicle you see in the pictures was a magnetic sign used to advertise an event we held (and has been removed), NOT part of the paint job. This car will be sold to the higest bidder after meeting reserve AS IS and WHERE IS; no warranty is included or implied. Upon winning, the highest bidder will contact us immediately via email with a phone number so that payment arrangements can be made. The final purchase price of the car will be due and paid in full within 3 business days of winning. Please, do not bid if you are not a serious buyer or if you do not have funds readily available. U.S. Postal Money Order, cashier's check, or cash will be accepted; vehicle will not be released until funds have cleared by our bank.
