This auction is for a 2000 Ford Excursion Limited 7.3L diesel 4WD truck. I've owned this truck since 2002, when I bought it with a salvage title after it's been rebuilt by a professional body shop. The damage on the truck was upper sheet metal only and did not touch the frame. I've put 170K miles on it and had not had any damage related issues. The truck does not burn tires and steers straight. Title does not have any salvage markings on it, but Carfax and other history sites will show the vehicle as salvaged. There are two issues with the truck. One is that turbo waste gate makes strange noises while the engine is cold. At the same time there is low power. Once the engine warms up, the problems disappear and the truck runs great. Two is that about 4 years ago I spilled some battery acid in the cargo area. So, I removed the cargo carpet and put in regular piece of carpet instead. The acid did not leak through to the metal, so there is no damage to the metal under the carpet. The truck has removable rear bench seat, which makes it an 8 passenger vehicle. Recently the truck had quite a bit of work done. This includes: - New alternator - New front ball joints - New front leaf springs - New tie rod ends - New front U-joints - New shocks in the rear - New front outer bearings - The metal supporting the side steps rusted out (very common problem on these trucks), so I had the supporting metal re-done in aluminum.
