1971 BMW 2002 roundie model. The CEYLON GOLD color is not original, the car was resprayed by the previous owner and they did a good job. The car is in good shape, it has a current inspection sticker and it is registered. I bought it about a year and a half ago with some front end damage that was straightened out but it is not perfect and the hood doesn't close like it should. The hood will lach down and the car can be driven just fine. A good straight used hood and a straight piece of the front nose that needs to be replaced are included in the sale. I did quite a bit of work to it and all is listed below. I cleaned the Weber 32/36 carburetor and put about 4000 miles on the car last summer but now it stumbles on acceleration so it must need some adjusting again. The interior is in good shape, carpeting will need to be attached better to the floor and rear seat back top has damage from the sun. I inspected the car for rust and it seems to be in great shape. The floors, strut towers, rocker panels and other sheet metal is solid. There were some repairs to the metal surrounding the pedal box, fiberglass repair to the spare tire well and an area of bondo above the left rear wheel (about 4"x4" area). I have a rebuilt heater valve and new hoses so everything needs to be installed back.4 speed tranny works good but it has typical worn 2nd gear synchro so it grinds when downshifting into 2nd gear (the rear tranny seal also leaks a few drops of fluid after a ride)door brakes/mechanism needs to be adjusted, doors will close but need to be slammed to close flush all the way( I have used door brakes if they need to be replaced) INCLUDED IN THE SALE ARE:4 stock steel rims with good stock size tires (the rims on the car now are stock E21 5.5inch wheels with Yokohama 205/60/13 tirespare E21 M10 motor with good compression on all four cylinders (150psi) I PREFER LOCAL PICK UP.
