Vehicle Detail
This is a 1962 Thunderbird hardtop. It is Corinthian white with a white vinyl top and light blue interior and carpet. The car is loaded with options; power windows, power brakes, power steering, tinted windows, air conditioning, dual exhaust, 4 barrel carburetor, swing away steering wheel, fender skirts, and vinyl top. The car has been stored inside since I purchased it. It was also kept in a garage before I bought it and the previous owner sold it because they wanted the garage space. It was last driven around 1985. I started restoring it 15+ years ago. The work got interrupted when we moved to a new house and I have not gotten back to finish it. It has about 80,000 miles on it. It is a late '62 model built in '63. It has the '62 body, no rib on the fenders, doors or hood, but it has '63 style hubcaps and gold painted valve covers and air cleaner. It has the original 390 engine and 4 barrel. The engine was professionally rebuilt, and the transmission was rebuilt shortly before I bought the car. The engine is back in the car. The engine runs, but the car cannot be driven. The car was not bad for rust and I have fixed any rust issues it had. I put new lower quarter panels on it and fixed some holes in the floor and trunk. Aftermarket steel panels were welded in for all repairs. All rust was cut away before new metal was welded in. The interior, engine compartment and trunk are all painted white and ready to go. I was in the process of replacing the padded dash when I got interrupted. The front seat will need some work, the back seat would be usable, but I would probably recover that at the same time. Everything is there for the car, plus some extra parts that I have picked up over the years. There are still parts that you will need to replace if you want to get this up to show quality. I have most of the receipts from what I have spent. I will also include the shop manual, parts catalogs and any other paperwork I have on it. Please email me with questions or to setup a time to look at it. I have more pictures I can send you plus I can take pictures of specific areas you want to see.
