Vehicle Detail

I have a super rare (14k made) special edition full time 4 wheel drive 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited. I love this Jeep and have sentimental attachment to it. It's transported me, my wife, dog and a trailor with everything I own very far a few times without fail! This Jeep is dependable and has never left me stranded! This is not a regular Jeep Grand Cherokee but the very rare (14,289 we're made) 5.9 L which features one of the best engines ever made by Chrystler. Book value is about $4600 for good condition. It has 149k miles on it (Pics are with 142k but is exactly the same) but has been maintained very well and these Jeep's 5.9 L engines can easily run for well over 300k Miles. I am the 3rd owner and this jeep runs like a beast. It will tow just about anything! It has a new set of tires on it with a complete alignment from pep boys. I've also replace the battery, water pump, serpentine belt, timing chain adjustment, transmission flushed, had front and rear diffentials rebuilt, along with new shocks all around. I also added running boards, window air trims and other accessories. It has some couple of knicks on the bumpers that can be fixed cheaply but overall the paint is in good shape. Power everything, Keyless entry w/alarm, tow package w/hitch, cruise control, cd player, cassette, premium 8 speaker sound, Tinted windows around, moon roof, tilt steering, fold down seats, super soft calf leather (no tears/ or rips just a lil wear on wheel/arm rest), and really nice wood grain trim all around. Its Bright Platinum color with Black Calfs-Leather interior! Interior is a 8.5 outta 10 and exterior is a 9 outta 10!  California smogged and current tags til 11/2012!   The issues...needs a new sunroof seal for about $75.  I never fixed it since I didn't open it much (Cali sun is intense) so I sealed it so it would not leak.  There are some scuffs on both bumpers and few minor (less than 5) scratches on paint but it stills shines like new.  Also, in 1st, 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear (not always 3rd) the engine has developed a tick (not a knock).  I've had this looked at and have been told it's reletively minor and it may be fixed with valve and timing adjustments.  The coolant sensor needs replacement or adjustment.  There is always plenty of coolant but the sensor sometimes pops up.  Very common on these jeeps and is very minor, $20 fix.  Just never bothered me.  Also, I replaced the drivers door rear view mirror glass.  I bought this Jeep a few years and have never had any issues with it and oil has been changed every 3k miles.  I have recently bought a new vehicle and have no more need for this one.  Engine still runs extremely strong and is very fast.  This is perfect for someone out there since the value of these jeeps are going up!  Contact me locally in Los Angeles to check it out.  I reserve the right to take auction down if I sell it locally.  Buyer responsible for registration/title transfer, pickup and/or shipping arrangement/charges.  Will accept paypal payment via e-check or through the paypal payment - personal - other payments option to avoid huge fees.  Thanks for looking... The 5.9 L Limited ZJ (1998) The 5.9 Limited was a Jeep Grand Cherokee produced only for the 1998 model year, having more luxury and performance than that of the regular Limited. Chrysler manufactured nearly a quarter million Grand Cherokees in 1998. Of those, fewer than fifteen thousand were 5.9s. It housed a Magnum 5.9 LV8 engine with an output of 245 hp (183 kW) and 345 lb·ft (468 N·m) of torque, going from zero to 60 mph (100 km/h)in only 7.3 seconds[8] (Motor Trend measured this at a slightly faster 6.8 seconds[9]), making it the quickest SUV available that year. The performance of the 1998 5.9 L V8 has been surpassed by Jeep only with the introduction of the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, which housed a 6.1 L Hemi Engine.[10] The 5.9 Jeep Grand Cherokee was named the 1998 four-wheel drive vehicle of the year by Petersen's 4-Wheel & Off-Road Magazine.[11] The 5.9 Limited was available only in Deep Slate, Stone White, and Bright Platinum.
