I AM SELLING MY 1987 FORD F-250 XLT LARIAT 4X4 DIESEL 6.9L WITH WESTERN SNOWPLOW. IT HAS 107,720 MILES ON IT. I HAVE OWNED IT APPROX. 2 1/2 YEARS. I ONLY USED IT IN THE WINTER FOR PLOWING. I WENT OUT AND STARTED IT AND WENT TO USE IT AND IT QUIT. NOW IT WON'T START. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY IT WON'T START AND I AM NOT GOING TO SPEND ANY MORE MONEY ON IT. SINCE I OWNED THIS TRUCK, I HAD A BODY SHOP REPLACE THE FLOOR PANS, AND THE FRONT CAB MOUNTS WERE CHANGED. I HAVE INCLUDED SOME PICTURES SO YOU CAN SEE THE WORK THAT WAS DONE. THEY ALSO REMOVED THE FRONT WINDSHIELD BECAUSE IT WAS LEAKING, CLEANED UP THE RUST, REPAINTED IT, AND HAD A LOCAL GLASS COMPANY RESET THE WINDSHIELD. THE WINDSHIELD IS IN GOOD CONDITION. I ALSO HAD THEM REPLACE THE REAR SLIDING WINDOW, AS IT WOULD NOT CLOSE RIGHT NOR WOULD IT LOCK, WITH A GOOD USED WINDOW. ALL THE GLASS IS IN GOOD CONDITION. IT HAS POWER WINDOWS AND THEY BOTH WORK. THE POWER LOCKS, CRUISE CONTROL AND HORN DO NOT WORK. I ALSO HAD THEM REPLACE THE FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS WITH TWO GOOD BUMPERS. THEY ALSO REPAIRED THE LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS. ALL THE LIGHTING ON THE TRUCK WORKS, INCLUDING THE BACKUP LIGHTS. THIS TRUCK HAS RUST AND IT ALSO HAS A BEDLINER IN THE BOX. IT ALSO HAS A REESE HITCH ON IT WITH A FLAT 4 PRONG WIRING PLUG. ON THE FRONT AXLE IT HAS AN EXTRA SPRING ON EACH SIDE. I ALSO REBUILT THE FRONT LOCKING HUBS BY CLEANING, REPACKING THE BEARINGS AND REPLACING THE SEALS. I ALSO CHANGED THE UPPER AND LOWER BALL JOINTS ON BOTH SIDES, ALONG WITH BOTH UNIVERSAL JOINTS ON THE FRONT AXLE SHAFT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. TIE ROD END WAS CHANGED ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND ONE SEAL WAS PUT IN THE FRONT DIFERENTIAL ON THAT SIDE. ALSO THE FRONT BRAKES AND ROTORS WERE CHANGED AND HARDWARE KIT WAS INSTALLED. THE REAR BRAKE SHOES WERE CHANGED, BOTH WHEEL CYLINDERS AND A HARDWARE KIT, AND THE REAR BRAKE LINES GOING TO THE REAR WHEEL CYLINDERS. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE CABLES WERE ALSO CHANGED. ONE BUSHING WAS REPLACED AND THE TWIN I-BEAM SUSPENSION IN THE FRONT AND BOTH UNIVERSAL JOINTS ON THE DRIVE SHAFT WERE CHANGED. I TOOK IT TO MY LOCAL TUFFY SHOP AND HAD A DUAL EXHAUST SYSTEM REPLACED ON IT. I HAVE THE EXHAUST COMING OUT IN FRONT OF THE REAR TIRES. YOU CAN SEE IT IN THE PICTURES. THEY ALSO CHANGED ALL 4 SHOCKS WITH MONROE HEAVY DUTY SHOCKS. THE CENTER GAS TANK, STRAPS AND SENDING UNIT WERE ALL REPLACED WITH NEW ONES AND THE TANK AND STRAPS WERE UNDERCOATED. THE REAR TANK LEAKED SO I REMOVED IT AND NEVER REPLACED IT. I HAVE REPLACED WITH BOTH BATTERIES, PURCHASED FROM SAMS CLUB. I ALSO HAD THE OIL, OIL FILTER AND AIR FILTER CHANGED ALONG WITH WIPER BLADES AND A NEW WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP. I BOUGHT FIVE NEW ORIGINAL SIZE TIRES AND HAD THEM INSTALLED. THEY ARE FIRESTONE 8 PLY TIRES WITH UNI-T TRANSFORCE A/T BL LT235/85R16 WITH NEW VALVE STEMS AND BALANCED. A FRONT END ALIGNMENT WAS ALSO DONE. I HAD THE SNOWPLOW SERVICED AT MY LOCAL WESTERN DEALER. THEY REPLACED A BAD LIFT RAM AND PACKING AND REPLACED THE FINGER ASSEMBLE AND JOYSTICK. THEY CHANGED OUT THE O-RINGS IN THE VALVE BODY AND FLUSHED AND REFILLED THE UNIT. I ALSO HAD THE TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY REBUILT AND THE TRANSMISSION LINES CHANGED, ALONG WITH FLUSHING THE COOLER. THIS WAS DONE LESS THAN 300 MILES AGO. THE PLOW IS A WESTERN 7 1/2 FOOT PRO PLOW 60381. IT RUNS GREAT SINCE I HAD IT SERVICED. IT HAS NO RUST HOLES AND THE CUTTING EDGE IS IN GOOD CONDITION. IT HAS NEW SHOES AND NEW MOUNTING PINS. IT HAS A CABLE CONTROL FOR THE OPERATION OF THE PLOW. AS YOU CAN SEE, I HAVE DONE CONSIDERABLE WORK AND SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON THIS OLD TRUCK. I HAVEN'T DRIVEN IT SINCE LAST WINTER AND WHEN I WENT TO USE IT, IT STARTED AND DROVE IT ABOUT A HALF MILE DOWN THE ROAD AND IT STALLED - NOW IT WON'T START BUT IT ROLLS OVER. I AM DONE SPENDING MONEY ON THIS TRUCK. IT MIGHT BE A SIMPLE FIX OR IT MIGHT NEED A MOTOR. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION AND THE HIGH BID WINS IT. IT IS ALSO FOR SALE LOCALLY. CASH ONLY UPON PICKUP.
