I am listing this 1984 Dodge rampage for a good friend. For any questions, you can ask me through Ebay or you can call the owner at (828)728-4728 or (828)728-0988. TO START WITH: I can not tell you much about the history of this particular Rampage, but I can tell you a little about the man that built it. I have known him and considered him a good friend for 34 years. He is one of the most knowledgeable Mopar gurus in the country. He is a Chrysler automotive technician, a former Chrysler service manager for multiple Chrysler dealerships and a former Chrysler parts manager. He is a former drag racer and a long time street rodder. I mention all that to maybe give you an idea about the quality and the technology that has gone into the building of this Dodge Rampage. He has built 8 of these little turbo trucks and this one is very likely the finest one. THE RAMPAGE BACKGROUND: These little unibody front drive pickups were only built for 3 years, 1982, 1983, and 1984. All had the Chrysler built 2.2 carbureted engine, with either 4-speed manual, 5-speed manual, or 3-speed automatic transmissions. None were built with the turbo engine. Chrysler built a very limited number of Rampages with exterior trim to make them resemble the Dodge Shelby Chargers and they were only available in the California market. Now to tell you all I can about this Rampage: THE MECHANICS: It is built from a solid, totally rust-free 1984 Dodge Rampage. All mechanical components, wiring, and electronics are from a 1987 Dodge Shelby Charger with all of the mechanical parts replaced with new parts. The engine is a 2.2 turbo with all new components. It has all new head and all new turbo. The transmission is a "568" 5-speed transaxle and also has all new components. It has an SRT4 Neon shifter and all new shift cables. The brakes are 4-wheel disc brakes with new calipers, rotors, and all new parts. The suspension has new struts and all new wheel bearings. The steering has a new rack and pinion and all new parts. The wheels are 15" American Racing that are fitted with OEM Dodge Ram centers. The tires are new Kumho 225-50-15's. The exhaust is all factory OEM Shelby Charger. THE BODY: As stated earlier, the body is rust free. No rust. No repaired rust. The paint color is factory Chrysler Prowler Orange. The paint is Martin Senour Tech Base urethane basecoat/clearcoat. The bed cover is custom built and upholstered. THE CONDITION: As one might suspect and also expect, this is as close as anyone could get to a brand new Dodge Rampage and in a Shelby Turbo version, which was never available in the first place. It has been driven approximately 2,500 miles since completed. It cranks, runs, drives, and looks like a new vehicle. It does have excellent cold A/C. It needs nothing except to be driven and enjoyed. TERMS OF SALE: This little Dodge Rampage pickup is offered without warranty. It has a clear North Carolina title. Full payment must be made within 7 days from the end of the auction.
