The vehicle up for auction is a very unique rod. It started it's life as a 1948 Ford 4 door.The body was cut about 6 inches through the back doors.then the body was channeled.The roof was chopped and has a 6 and a half inch flip-out windshield.There is no other glass in the truck.The truck is about 4 foot 2 inches tall.The custom made bed was added. The grille is a 1936/37Ford truck grille I believe but not for sure.It is missing a few teeth, but if you are as old as this thing you'd be missing a few teeth too. The motor is a 350 Chevrolet top off with a Edelbrock carb. and custom made headers.The transmission is a Turbo 350 topped with a Genie shifter and transmission cooler as well.The truck does not run hot.I am unsure of gear ratio of rear end.The rear end has 4 link with coilovers.The front has a straight axle. The lights are in working order. The car runs, drives, shifts and stops fine with 4 drum brake system.The wheels on rear are G/78 on 15 inch rims the front are 16 inch with good tread on tires.I have another pair of 16 inch tires and wheels to with the truck but ties have weak tread. The motor, transmission and exhaust are mounted high and have no problems with scrapping the ground.The frame does scrape on speed bumps and some uneven terrain.The truck gets attention when ever I take it out.The truck is available for inspection at most any time.
