I have for sale a 1934 chevy truck. this truck is all original except for the seat that i had recovered as close to the original color that i could find. This truck runs and drives, motor sounds great, there is a exhaust manifold leak on the #5 cylinder but the engine sounds very solid, no ticks or knocks. The transmission shifts good and is quiet as well. All the gauges work except the clock all the tires hold air. The body on this is the best part, there is no rust except light surface rust, no rust holes at all!!!! The doors are perfectly straight and all the latches and hinges work smoothly, the doors close nicer than my 2010 truck! All the wood in the doors and the floor board are in perfect condition as well. All the glass is perfect except for the windshield. There is a few minor dents on the fenders and roof. The grill is perfect, no dents or bent fins at all. The hood has had some minor damage from a board falling on it and I spent a small amount of time with a body hammer and spoons but it could use some more. Some light pressure on an english wheel would get it back to its original state. I purchased this truck from somone who is friends with the original owners father and he said that the truck originally had a standard bed on it with fenders but im not sure. There was a set of period correct rear fenders that were in the back of the truck when i got it and they will go with the new owner but I cant say weather that information is true or not. I found a number of neat pieces of paper in the truck one of which was a "certificate of war time use" from 1943 that gave the farmer permission to use the vehicle during the war, as well as some cool old road flares and log books from what the farmer was hauling. I do have a up to date and clear title and it is currently licenced and up to date for the road. This truck would be a perfect start to a street rod build or leave it the way it is and drive it in parades. I am not home to get a measurement but these fenders are in great shape, have no rust, one fender would need some dent repair on the bottom side. The same people that have helped me identify these fenders have also said that these are valuable pieces, some where in the $500 range. As I learn this information I wish I would hve not made mention of thim in the add and sold them seperate but my loss your gain :-) I should have done some homework. If you are the high bidder on this truck and learning this information makes you want to retract a bid please do so immediatly and i will end the auction, revise it and start over.
