Factory C/S (Carroll Shelby) package including anti-roll bar, stiffer shocks and springs, low-profile wheels, weight reduction, ground-effects chin and side skirts. It has never been modified, raced or wrecked. The body is clean with no dents and absolutely NO RUST. The clearcoat has peeled or chalked in places. Normal wear inside - seats and carpet worn but intact. Dashboard and interior trim are in good condition. I believe the engine is in good shape - still plenty of power. I've used Mobil 1 synthetic the whole time - generally changed about every 4K miles. Oil consumption is moderate, some leaks. Transmission is rebuilt with about 20K miles on it. Dunlop 225/52/ZR-15 tires, perhaps 50% tread left. It has never failed to pass the stringent California smog check. This is a one-owner vehicle. It has been mostly garage-kept, seldom driven in snow, and never in salt. Mostly highway miles around Northern California - daily driver. Extensive maintenance records available. There are some known mechanical problems: Power steering rack has leaks - needs rebuild. A/C not functional - bad compressor.Front shocks need replacement. Idle is rough - fuel injector or tuneup issue?Power window/door motors are weak/semi-functional. Some minor leaks around door glass. This Daytona has always been a head-turner - one of the most stylish examples of the sport-turbo cars Chrysler produced in that era. This particular vehicle was featured in the dealer's television ads. For the first few years I had it serviced at the dealer, and it was always a kick to take it in even for an oil-change: when I came back at the end of the day, my car was washed, detailed and parked out by the front door where everybody who came in would see it.
