Six passengers four door sport phaeton - the top open car in the Buick line for 1938Original inline 320cu.in. Eight cylinder motorVery rare, lovely and stately car. 141hp, 320.2cu.in. Buick overhead valve inline eight-cylinder engine, three-speed sliding gear manual transmission, four-wheel hydraulic brakes. Wheelbase: 133" (incresed by 2" from '37). 4325 Lbs. "Unisteel" all steel body construction were new for Roadmasters in 1938.. Two piece windshield, center latching doors, front vent window, rectangal door glass and fabric convertible top. The 1938 Buick Roadmaster Convertible Sedan offered here is a preserved and original example (carb set up would not be correct but can provide a correct one) and would be an excellent candidate for restoration. Bought the car with the intent to restore it but have now to downsize since I have too many projects. Running condition but needs to be restored! Engine is in running condition but smoke. Interior is good. Ask question if you need more information! Of the 350 Roadmaster Convertible built for US market in 1938 very few have survived!!! See attached picture with Hermann Goering, the Head of the German Luftwaffe greeting Hitler in a forest, probably at Hitler's fortress built in Belgium near the French border. The photo was probably taken in the summer of 1940, at the peak of german power, just after the defeat of France in June 1940. The 1938 80C was probably captured during the invasion of France.
