Up for auction is my 1951 Dodge Panel Truck. Unfortunately storage has become an issue. To many projects one must go. This Panel as you can see is awesome, it has been completely restored. The body was amazing from start. I bought this Panel from a previous restorer who stripped to body to bare metal and put in Epoxy. I feel this was a military or civil service vehicle. The body is rust free. I completely finished restoration on the Panel as described below.The body inside in out has been painted with single stage enamel. The exterior is two tone bright blue with vivid black belting. I had plans for some gold leaf lettering on this black. The wood planking bed is amazing, I did not make look like a table top it is scoffed and coated with clear. The dash is it excellent condition all functional. I converted the vacuum wipers to later pilot house electric. The cab is heated. I made new headliner, kick panels, and door panels. The single seat has been professionally recovered. I have a second seat, not installed. The seat is from a 1985 Chevy van the close I could find at the time. The Panel has complete new wiring oem reproduction. 6 Volt generator and starter overhauled. All lights work perfect. I am a fanatic with brakes all new, including lines. The rims are 16” with brand new BFG wide whites. The Transmission is 3 speed with FLUID DRIVE. The clutch, pressure plated and bearing is new. Drive shaft has new joints and is perfect. The suspension is perfect including new shocks front and rear. I reuse the glass that came with it. Only problem is a small crack on passenger side of windshield. I’ll try to get it replaced by end of action, if not I’ll take the cost of that side off sale price. The engine is a 23” L6 flat head. The motor was gone over by previous owner. I did a compress test prior to installing, all holes pretty equal between 132psi and 135 psi, perfect. Oil pressure is 40psi, the motor runs like top, no smoke. The Radiator is a honey comb original, perfect. The fuel tank was cleaned with special Eastwood kit, I did not coat due the problem with today’s gas eating everything, unfortunately I think it hurt the float on sendor gauge is not to accurate. The trans shifts good as a typical, straight cut Rev and 1st, 2nd and 3rd are sycro. The exhaust is brand new along with all weather stripping. A couple things needed, this truck never had directional, I didn’t install any. I was trying to find the horn button insert for wheel. The horns are install and work. I have perfect wiper arms but no blades.This truck is super rare, not many left, really needs to be seen to be appricated.
