NO RESERVE AUCTION 2000 Toyota Celica GT, with only 94,977 miles. Low mileage for this model year. 4 Cylinder, 1.8 liter engine. I am the sole owner (sole driver, actually), and would love to keep driving my darling Celica, but we no longer need two cars. While currently garaged in Chicago, it spent its first 8 years in the South, and has no rust. Drives great! I've never had any unexpected mechanical issues - the clutch and brakes are both new. Everything works great on this vehicle, and is in good condition, except for the items mentioned below. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like more information. Condition, Cosmetic - Overall the car is in good condition, but there is some wear, as you would expect with a car this old. Paint is in good condition overall, but the clear coat is failing on the spoiler and starting to go on the side mirrors. There is a small dent on the driver's side front fender, and a scratch on the underside of the front bumper. There are a few other extremely minor scratches and dings. The windshield has a scratch on it, going with the grain of the wiper blades (which are new!). The moon roof is in good condition, but is a bit cloudy. Condition, Interior - The interior is in great condition. The car has never been smoked in, and the seats are holding up well. There is a bit of paint on the back of the driver's seat and ceiling, but it's not noticeable. The floor mats are all original and in good condition, except for the driver's mat, which has a small hole worn in it. The owner's manual is in the glove compartment. Condition, Mechanical - This car drives great, and I've never had any unexpected mechanical issues. I've changed the oil regularly, flushed the radiator, rotated the tires, etc. Replacing the clutch and brakes are the only work I've had to have done - once each, and both recently. The timing belt needs to be replaced - it's fine, but the manufacturer recommends that it be done at 80k (you should be able to get this done for $200ish). Back tires are only a year old, and lightly driven on. The front tires are about 3 years old, and have good tread. The front passenger side tire has a slow leak (I fill it every two weeks) and needs repair. The engine's heat shield has been missing since the car's first oil change, but has never been an issue (would only be a problem if you park on long grass). The trunk hatch supports need replacing (they kind of work in warm weather, not in cold) - parts look like they cost $50. The back seats fold down flat, and when they do, this car can carry quite a lot! I've routinely transported 36"x54" paintings in the back, with room to spare (front seat all the way back). The Celica is surprisingly roomy for a car this size - I'm 6'5" and drive it comfortably. History - I'm the sole owner, and purchased the car from Brown Automotive in Charlottesville, VA in June of 2000. The car has never been in an accident and air bags have never been deployed.
