Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1958 Oldsmobile Super 88 convertible Matching numbers car Frame off restoration just done, car is fresh and with just a few test miles on it Everything has been redone or rebuilt Mechanically the 371ci engine prior to restoration was running but I’ve decided to take it totally apart and start from ground up. So, its brand new rebuilt, runs smooth now and very responsive...needs breaking in of course. The Hydromatic tranny has been gone thru and is smooth shifting too The body was practically a 99% rust free one, and I have many pics of their restoration to prove it...so, it was a pleasure to work with. All original untouched perfect floors mean a clean car overall since I’m the 2nd owner. Very straight untouched body. Interior is mostly the original one, since was quite well preserved and unused...I replaced only some parts of the upholstery in the exact original style. The doors panels are still the original ones and reused again. It’s a Super 88 type, the shorter but lots of chrome compared to the normal 88 series... It has manual windows Power brakes The ragtop is brand new...top works perfectly up and down. The exterior color is Lila and car came from factory with this color, which has been fully respected... Electrically it has a brand new 12V wiring system installed. It also has a very rare radio option that you can remove it from the car and play it outside the car with special batteries!!! Very rare option. dash has been taken off and all gauges checked and tested and all are working properly The bumpers have been fully rechromed One rear taillight base has some pitting due to the age of the material...the other is ok. All the stainless steel has been polished The windshield has 2 small dots on passenger side where probably some rock chips hit it...they are small but noticeable. I did not want to replace the windshield only for this small detail because it’s the original one... The trunk has been fully upholstered in factory style…5th original wheel is included Fender skirts equipped Hubcaps are in great condition Car it’s a joy to drive and I use to describe it as a Boulevard cruiser ...you will be noticed from distance with this chrome and pink boat cruising down the road...if you're shy its definitely NOT the car for you... I’m the 2nd owner of this car having bought it last year and started almost immediately the frame off resto....have too many toys and something has to go. No disappointments here...i do also have many restoration pics that i will gladly show to any interested party...nothin to hide hide and NO bondo anywhere...
