Mr. & Mrs. Ponzini - The second owners from Orange County, California An original 1985 Mercedes 300 D Turbo Diesel Sedan, in survivor condition. Only to have 159k original & documented mileage. Purchase new at Mercedes-Benz Of Hollywood, November 24 of 84'. The original owner's Pierre & Kathy Wong lived in Irvine, California (one hour south of Los Angeles). They pampered & garaged the Mercedes since the beginning. It was never used as a daily driver. Always maintain by a Mercedes specialist & was well taken care of thru out it's life. In 2002, the original owners were moving out of the country & decided to sell it to there close friends, the Ponzini's. The second owners lived only 15 minutes away from the original owners. It was kept in there garage & was hardly ever used in the last 10 years. It was still being maintain by the same Mercedes specialist. Mrs. Ponzini had knee surgery earlier this year & was unable to drive anymore. So it sat covered in the garage but was started every so often to keep it running by her husband. I present to you for the first time up for sale anywhere at no reserve. A True California 1985 Mercedes 300D Turbo Diesel garage find. The above photo is captured where the Mercedes was found in the garage A true California 300 D that spent it's entire life in Orange County. Remains the original Blue plates & has never seen snow. Beautiful & desirable colors, Champagne with Palomino interior. Been well maintain & taken care of by both the first & second owners. Very original thru out the car. The body is a fine example of a unrestored California car. All original panels, trim, glass & undercarriage. Never been in a accident & does come with a certified Carfax. The only little bubble I see is on the trunk under the 300 emblem, tiny. _____________________________________ The interior is in beautiful condition & most important, original. Seat covers covered the front chairs for many years & I recently had them removed. The second owner's stated they never had anyone sit in the back seat & most of the car served as a storage (trunk compartment & inside) when not in use. Never been smoked in or any sort of air fresheners applied. Still remains the original first aid kit & complete. The dash & cluster are in very clean shape for there age. The dash was covered with a cover as the rest of the interior. A very minor crack. barley visible. Photos will speak for them self. ______________________________________ The original 5 cylinder Turbo Diesel is in great running condition. Smooth & it handles as it should. Driving the Mercedes convinces you that it has been taken care of it's entire life. Only has 159,224 actual & documented mileage. No aftermarket modification added to this original 300 D. The factory transmission was rebuilt at Beach Benz on March 30, 2006. The mileage at that time was 158,588 - costing $2,015.23. Around 216 miles later, a new belt set & turbo belt was installed ( 5/3/07 ). A new Bosch battery was installed less then 500 miles ago. Close to 7 years, it was only driven less 600 miles. As you can see, plenty of service records & receipts are in hand. The trunk remains all original including spare.The jack is still in place, never taken apart. The original red tool kit is still place under the spare. All the gauges, sunroof, antenna/radio, power windows & lights do work. The clock even still works. The tires are all matching. Hercules series "G2000H" 195/70R14. Tires are in great condition with less wear. Can be driven anywhere. Would make a great driver for someone looking for a car that has been taken care of thru out it's life. A car like this is hard to come by, especially a Southern California Turbo Diesel. Fly in & drive it home with no second thoughts. Please keep in mind, this is a unrestored 25 years vehicle with wear & tear.
