Vehicle Detail

This car has been a driver for the last 13 years from April to October. She has been stored in the winter. Due to current circumstances and lack of appropriate funding & storage I have decided to part with Scarlet. She is in desperate need of a total restoration. I have tried to give a clear picture of her condition. There is rust starting to develop so should be taken care of as soon as possible. The frame under the passenger side door has some rust holes approximately the size of quarters. Mostly the car is original although at one point paint was done. There is evidence of some body repair around the top part of the trunk area. She is missing some trim and has a small ding on the driver's side front fender. When I purchased her in around 1998 she had 89,000 miles on the odometer. Now the reading is 111,000 plus miles. I believe that is only one turnover on the odometer. I was also told when I purchased her that she was used as a BC Lions parade car at one point. That may have been a sales pitch but I have no proof either way. Over the years I have done regular oil changes, tranny flush, grease etc, replaced the fuel line front to back along with the exhaust system, had the brakes overhauled but not much else has ever been a problem mechanically. She starts flawlessly everytime and if she doesn't most likely she is out of gas. The power windows work but the driver's side switches are not stock, the heater works, but the wipers don't. The power top works but has a rip and is worn looking as shown in photo. The back end was hit at somepoint but I do not know the history or to what extent the damage was. There is evidence of bondo on the upper passenger side just above the trunk. Also as you can see there is rust and evidence of damage repair in the photo of the driver's side rear fender. I have listed her at a starting price and there is no reserve. If you have any questions not answered here please contact me. Also this car is listed for sale locally so there is a chance it could sell before the end of the auction. On 28-Dec-11 at 17:42:40 EST, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that the tires are hooped. They are holding air but would not be good for travelling down the road for much distance. The passenger right tire has cords starting to show through. Also the front brakes are drum and not disc.
